The Official Movie Thread

Recently watched..

Jaws, outstanding movie, seen it before of course but wow it really hold sup after all this time, what a classic. and still scared the shit out of me even now, i'm in florida on an ISLAND...scary :(

watched the original matrix today...another great movie

on my list is Primer, La Belle Noiseuse and La Boheme live w/ pavarotti and freni at the SF Opera

Watched Adventureland tonight. Pretty good "dramady." I don't care if Kristen Stewart is annoying as hell in the Twilight movies; she was hot and very good in this one.

I just saw Valhalla Rising^, as well as Bronson and The Pusher Trilogy. It was quite an amazing movie, but quite odd as well. In part's it reminded me of Antichrist; an ominous, spiritual feeling drifted through the movie. Id definitely recommend it.

God damn it, I've wanted to see Valhalla Rising and Antichrist for so fucking long, but I can't find the fucking DVDs for rent anywhere. I have the former on hold at Netflix, but apparently it hasn't been released yet.

I read your reviews of Wanted and Burn After Reading. Totally agree on Wanted. I personally didn't like Burn After Reading which surprised me since I've loved all the other Coen movies I had seen. I think that kind of comedy which relies on absurdity rather than wat is not my thing.

Good reviews, I'll definitely be looking into more of them.

Fixed it for you

Mads Mikkelsen btw is very good. Quietly has that captivating way...enjoyable to watch his work. Not until recently did I come across and watch The Pusher-2 on IFC or something...enjoyed it. This, King Arthur as well as Casino Royal are the only (Mikkelsen) films that I've seen.

Arn: The Knight Templar looks interesting and is listed in his filmography but I've yet to find the version including Mikkelsen, or either he has a very limited role in the trailers / clips I'm seeing. Any info or other recommendations of his films?...
