I actually enjoyed Birds of Prey more than I expected. Were there a lot of lefty pop culture references? Yes, even a Bernie reference, but overall it was a poppy violent fun mess with loads of action. Like Gwen Stefani and Guy Ritchie did a bunch of blow together and made a movie, basically if the Deadpool movie were drenched in thrift shop glamour and about chicks.

Also you could tell Ewan McGregor was having a shitload of fun playing a massive sexist cunt lmao. I heard some rumours Margot Robbie purchased the rights to Tank Girl and her production company will be remaking it eventually, could be cool.

@challenge_everything thanks for recommending Persona ages ago, finally saw it last night and it was fantastic. Best Bergman I've seen yet, which isn't that many to be fair.

It's my favourite too. Like a predecessor to Mulhollland Drive.

Maybe try The Seventh Seal next, you'll either find it amazing or insufferably pretentious (it's a fine line with Bergman).

the seventh seal was the movie that got me into ‘arthouse cinema’ as a teenage BM kid lol. it’s a bit on the nose for me these days but the subject matter is obviously my shit and it contains probably the two most iconic shots in all of foreign cinema.

hell or high water is pretty fun, i don’t really like sheridan’s writing much in general but it’s hard to go wrong with that story and cast. jeff bridges is fun in a crabby eastwood/TLJ type role

EDIT:
So im guessing the pubmenstrual tea from the art piece is tied to something and is going to come up later again. And the two old timers in blue at the end of the table are going to some kind of sacrifice? Looks like theyre getting ready to off themselves.

EDIT #2:
splattered all over dem rocks. dayamn

EDIT #3:
Pube pie has been served

Just read that George Miller has started casting for a Furiosa prequel. :OMG:

Thought both the brothers were pretty bad ass in this. Never seen anything with chris pine in it before that i can recall

Edit: nevermind saw the star trek movies with him

I remember him being one of the crazy redneck brothers in Smokin Aces, and he's the lead male in Wonder Woman, but this is the first time where I've seen him do something that shows his chops. Definitely liked the guy in this one.

Also the director of Hell or High Water did that 2018 movie Outlaw King with Pine in the lead, might watch that soon just cos.
