Slayed Necros
Void
Any good?
I had mixed feelings but it's well worth a look.
Any good?
That's definitely up there too. Alien³ would be my favourite Fincher if the animated xenomorph didn't look so dodgy, I know it's petty but every time it yanks me out of the movie experience.
Mine goes something like:
1. Zodiac
2. Alien³
3. Fight Club
4. Se7en
5. Gone Girl
6. Panic Room
7. The Game
Need to rewatch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the rest I haven't seen yet.
How do you rate the others?
Gods he was a fucking warrior in that movie.
I know, I know, putting it on my watchlist now.
Even more embarrassing given the first Alien is one of my favourite movies.
Yeah man he fucking rules in it, definitely my favourite character. Honestly Charles S. Dutton is underrated as hell.
To add to that, it's also much more in the same spirit as the first one. A dark, oppressive and gritty horror.
Lol, are you being serious here?it's also much more in the same spirit as the first one.
Aliens has much more in common with Alien 3 than it does the with first one. Its far from being as dark or gritty and doesnt even come close in just about every other aspect. In essence its still pretty much an action movie.Agree. Aliens is great, but a different beast than the first and third installments.
Which part of that statement is funny to you? I think its hilarious that you actually think its anywhere near as "dark or gritty" or in any way comparable to the first one outside of it being in the same franchise and having some horror elements.

you dont see that why i think that Aliens and Alien 3 are basically action orientated movies while the first one wasn't? Are you really going to try and argue this? And for the third time, it is in no way as dark or gritty as the first one. That's pretty much a fact and anyone who implies it is should never talk about those movies again. Those are the two things i said and to be honest they're not even debatable.I don’t understand why you think this.
Alien 3 hearkens back to the original, what with the prisoners trying to coerce the xenomorph through tunnels and corner it, their lack of heavy firepower, and the fact that they’re up against only one xenomorph. I see Aliens as the outlier in that trilogy. The feelings of isolation, claustrophobia, and horror seem way more visceral in the first and third movies than in the second. Aliens is like a war movie in which the soldiers discover the enemy has more resources than they anticipated.

im asking you again, which part of them both being action movies(one more so than the other obviously) and not being anywhere near as dark or gritty as the first one is funny to you?
