The Official Movie Thread

from what i recall i adore the first half or so of deliverance but i think it dissipates a little when the action/disaster movie stuff hits full gear. southern comfort just straight up rules.

worth noting that the DoP for SOUTHERN COMFORT, andrew laszlo, was also the DoP for FIRST BLOOD (as well as a bunch of other hill movies like THE WARRIORS and STREETS OF FIRE). probably deserves some of the credit for the awesomeness of these movies.

Can you believe I'm only just now buying a copy of Road House?

It was indeed (to my knowledge). I am sorely uneducated on their releases but I know I have seen a lot more since. I love horror (even though this is pseudo/arguably connected to horror...) so it's hard to avoid!

Yeah it was probably pretty hard to categorize back then, since it combined extreme violence and gore with comedy and superheroes lmao. I love bizarre crap like that, I think it was my first Troma movie too and the whole time I had a feeling like I was doing something I shouldn't be doing, like the first time you watch a porno when you're young.

Exactly! lol

What would be some others that rival this one to check out?

Big question! For me; Class of Nuke 'Em High, Surf Nazis Must Die, Troma's War, Redneck Zombies and Toxic Avenger IV: Citizen Toxie (my personal favourite of all the Troma films).

Edit: oh and Rabid Grannies. :D
