The Official Movie Thread

I watched French Connection II - pretty entertaining, especially Gene getting drunk during his withdrawal and rambling about baseball.
RIP Gene. Also watched him in Heist the other day - it was ok.

Some randoms enjoyed lately:

Schizopolis - must be one of the weirdest ever movies from a well-known director other than Lynch, quite delightful

The Haunting (1963) - awesome opening, great atmosphere and some funny lines. For the moving into a big creepy old mansion with an even creepier maid genre it's almost as good as Rebecca, and quite a bit better than Night of Dark Shadows.

Westworld (1973) - I'd never seen the TV series and probably wouldn't commit to it, but dug this, pretty classic really

Charade (1963) - fairly great thriller that took a left on the way to film noir and went for comedy instead

Looks like they're bringing back a lot of the 2000's X-Men for Avengers: Doomsday.

Magneto, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Mystique, Beast and Professor X. Ian McKellen's Magneto will finally be in the MCU.
