Great colors and bokeh!

Here are a couple shots from a show a few days ago:

It was nice to shoot at a show that actually had lighting (most shows are at some taco shop with no lights :()

Oh and question: is there any reason I should keep the 55-250mm? The extra 50mm wouldn't be bad, but asides from that I can't think any reasons to keep it.

Honestly, you probably don't need it. If you want to keep that extra focal length then by all means go ahead though. If you need cash for another lens though, the 55-250 should sell for near $200. It's always a thought. Fact of the matter is though your f4 lens should be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sharper and have better color; another bonus is that since you're on a crop sensor your technical focal length is 88-320. Granted you lose 80mm if you abandon the 55-250, but again... do you really need it?

You wouldn't happen to have a RAW version of this would you? I'd like to take a crack at a B&W conversion if you don't mind.

I ended up trading the 55-250mm for a Canon Speedlite 430ex. I would rather use natural light, of course, but unfortunately most of the shows here take place at a taco shop (Yayo Taco) with no lighting whatsoever.

The best part is that the guy I bought it from is a professional architectural photographer, and he said I could probably go on a shoot with him sometime.

Hey Hey,
No sir, I do not. I actually did the dumbest thing ever, and saved over the original file altogether, replacing it with a slightly cropped and edited version. Also, I should start shooting in raw, but I seem to keep forgetting. The advantages are numerous, I know that.

Went to San Diego today, and had a squirrel come within 9 inches of me to check out the shutter click on my camera! Unfortunately he was so damn fast that I didn't get him in the frame in time (100mm at 9" is a bitch).

I did manage to score some good pics, but the clearest one has the squirrel in the most awkward pose ever :/
Hopefully I can turn in into something good

Haha thats pretty damn funny, I guess thats what the worse part would be when walking around with a telephoto prime like that. Looking forward to seeing a squirrel at 9" though, haha.

Oh, there is a park with a lot of squirrels really close to my hometown, and they are all called Mariana ... so usually when you call for squirells you just shout 'Mariana' and they show up and start to smell if you got food on you :p
But they are very used to people.

These one's were somewhat cautious of people. They lived in the picnic area of the San Diego zoo, and would bolt if you even took a step near them. I got one to get a couple feet away from me by clicking at it, but it wouldn't go further. Then this other one got a hold of the camera, and heard the clicking of the shutter. That one was closer to my feet than the one in that picture, and it was the closest a squirrel has ever let me be :3

Srontgorrth:
Very nice.

Added you on Flickr btw.

Thanks! Added you back as well.

And I think I've mentioned it before but that first shot is really awesome.

Edit: I wanted to try some architectural photography that would be similar to that of the same stuff displayed on company/casino's website or something, so here are a few good shots I got:

I don't mean to spam up the page, but here are some shots from the BTC House show. Cave show pics will come in a day or two.
