I haven't been listening to much hip hop at all lately, after going through a huge underground boston-area hip hop (and hip hop in general) phase over the past year. Besides metal it's been mostly indie rock, classic punk and some good old hardcore for me.

Where I am dictates the kinda hip hop I listen to. If I'm sitting around at home, headphones in, it tends to be more cerebral shit like POS or Aesop Rock. If I'm in the car with my system, it's Gucci Mane and Jeezy.
 
The new Fiona Apple is so damn good. She has developed phenomenal range and control. Great lyrics and songwriting, as always.




The new Peter Murphy has some really good cuts on it. His voice has aged quite well.
