I haven't been listening to much hip hop at all lately, after going through a huge underground boston-area hip hop (and hip hop in general) phase over the past year. Besides metal it's been mostly indie rock, classic punk and some good old hardcore for me.
Where I am dictates the kinda hip hop I listen to. If I'm sitting around at home, headphones in, it tends to be more cerebral shit like POS or Aesop Rock. If I'm in the car with my system, it's Gucci Mane and Jeezy.
Without a trace of irony, I fucking love Gangnam Style and listen to it several times a day. I hope it becomes the most viewed video in the history of Youtube.
The closest resemblance I've heard is some My Bloody Valentine, and some moments from Boris that are clearly inspired by this style. I feel like I'm missing a common ancestor for this fast noisy shoegazy materail
