The new clipping. is expectedly awesome, but not quite as good as There Existed an Addiction to Blood. Highlights for me (so far) are "'96 Neve Campbell," "Check the Lock," "Say the Name," and "Eaten Alive."
Uploaded this, an online friend's song based around the weird "goo-wra-wra" yell of the character Sully in Commando when Arnie drops him off the cliff. I only watched the movie for the first time this year and didn't notice that I knew the sound from somewhere.
Damn. It's like they smashed the 90's and Avril Lavigne together into a song and it doesn't suck. I hope their 2021 album is as catchy and fun as this, the first album was a let down after I listened to "Television Romance" a billion times expecting the whole album to be about as good.
I actually like the lyrics of this song more than the music. The vocals on this song are by Dave van Ronk and the entire album is IMO a very good lesson in American immigration history.
