The "What Are You Doing This Moment" Thread

My dog thanks you for the sleazy trash compliment but has confirmed I was wrong, she wouldn't waste a good shit on a Rex.

Well, im glad your dog has at least enough class not to shit on my new car; unlike the past-due whores chasing after you.

Anyways, I love my car, don't regret it, etc. Never understood the WRX hate.

Class? Nah she just didn't want to catch something off the seats. Even those past due whores behind me don't taint like a Rex does.

Don't get me wrong I don't hate Rexes, all boy racers with their pants hanging four inches below their arse and their hat on backwards need a ricer in their life.

I'm picking up a new (used) car this evening. Mid 2000's Commodore. The bloody thing only has a CD player in it. Need some suggestions on what awesome mixed CDs I should burn...

Go.

You don't have a CD collection or anything?
Of course, but I learned the hard way back in my youth that it isn't a good idea to keep original CDs in the car. Plus I favour MP3 CDs as you don't have to change them as often (whilst driving!) and it doesn't matter if they become scratched.

Gotta admit, I just got into Demolition Hammer recently thanks to you guys & the battle of the bands thread. Their first two albums are fucking amazing, so I'm gonna look to track them down & spin the fack out of them in the car.

Their third album didn't really appeal to me though.

Okay just curious, and I agree keeping CDs in the car is usually a bad move haha. I've actually melted a few CDs over the years just by leaving them in cars.

Yeah, really disappointed me. Sounds like a second rate Machine Head album or some shit.

I was impressed when I found out my 2002 Honda plays mp3 CDs. Anything from around 8 hours to more like 11 hours if you squeeze the mp3 quality down. Really handy for the 630km drive to my parents' house, which I find more convenient than the airport method. Good way to listen to favourite songs over and over without punishing my Last.fm chart like I used to. Just finished gathering songs for a 5th disc. I mostly use the program MP3Gain to normalise them, but also chuck a limiter on the songs that are unusually quiet.

Ill admit that it is more of a young man's car, but don't be hasty in assuming everyone with a WRX is some lame dude-bro. No, this is not me:

I got the WRX for several reasons. First off, I think they look cool (cant go full d-bag rally blue though). Second, I needed something with AWD because I have a 3/4 mile long driveway in the mountains and we get snow. Third, im sick of driving slow eco cars and wanted something that I could have fun driving. Im also not rich yet, and the WRX is a pretty damn good deal for the performance. There really arent many other options that check all the boxes. Im not going full ricer on it either, and plan on keeping it stock because it is my commuter (almost 70 miles one way). I also got a good deal and warranty on it since im friends with the owner of the dealership. I love the car, but im also trying to ignore the WRX stigma. Maybe ill drive these cars for life just to piss people off.

Hanging shit on ricers is a past time it's nothing to be offended by. Just like Jimmy isn't offended because he bought himself a Dunnydoor and joined the Bogan patrol.
