The "What Are You Doing This Moment" Thread

My grandfather is in the hospital with an infection that may develop into pneumonia. Pretty worried; Vitor, I have an idea of where you're at right now.

Well man, all that you must do is visit him if you haven't yet. I hope your Grandpa get better soon and you can share anything with me if you want.

I just got home from cashing a $600.00 check, awesome. This guy bought 3 of my paintings at this little, local Art show my teacher put them in.

Congrats lady, was it your first sell? if yes, you're now officially a professional artist. :p

Usually computer work, and I did some nice (imo) prints last semester. I want to start painting pretty soon, probably in a really abstract style because it is what appeals to me.

Thank you, thank you. It was my first sell, but not my first time ever being in an Art show. I started submitting my art when I was a Freshmen. But, I did not know they were as frequent as they are. I would only do it three times a year. This year, I am trying to double that.

Congrats on this. I recommend saving as much as you can (in the form of silver/gold).
Thanks. I was just thinking about only doing half. I want to get this rad camera and this money is going to help me out a bunch.

I've never had anything in a gallery, because I am generally kind of doubtful of it. That and I don't paint :p
Well, just do it. It's a lot of fun whether you are there for making a buck or just experimenting with it and seeing all the different types of art and the different techniques people use. And you should for sure try painting. It's a lot of fun.

I suggest spending it all on pornography.
That is the worst thing anyone could spend money on. I don't see the attraction to it.

Nice. I need a tuxedo for occasions and also a suit for interviews, especially since I've gotta attempt to look professional looking for vacation work at engineering firms.

I've got a mid semester exam today about Distillation, Molecular, Convective and Interphase Transfer/Diffusion. I should go shower and leave soon.

My recommendation is to check eBay for suits and whatnot. And a suit can essentially double as a tuxedo, you just need to buy a tux shirt and a bow tie and a vest or cummerbund basically.

But yeah, check out eBay regularly and go for designer brands or store brands, as they can go surprisingly cheap, just make sure you find out what your measurements are (go to a store and have them fit you etc).

I got a Banana Republic Suit for $35 that retails for $300 or so, and a Hugo Boss suit for $31.99, and Hugo Boss suits usually retail at $795+ (http://store-us.hugoboss.com/HUGO-BOSS/Menswear/Suits/21100,en_US,sc.html).
