Upcoming Album... Anyone worried?

I like SW production, but I'd prefer to not have his vocals on an Opeth record again. I want it all to be Mike. When I hear SW's vox pop up on Deliverance, it always takes me out of the moment.

I thought that SW's voice complemented Mike's very well. And then I heard the first acoustic passage on Ghost of Perdition, with Mike's voice soaring. Now I have no desire for SW.

Well technically SW recorded a solo for Master's Apprentices as well that never showed up. Nevertheless, SW sings on Deliverence.

twas a great solo. shouldve been in the song.

I'd actually like to see Opeth do what PT did with their last album and create a sampler of the whole thing. Other bands have done it too and I really appreciated it. Whets the appetite rather well.

not into that at all. i love PT but that was a bad decision.

don't like samplers either ... especially for these kind of bands, you have to listen to the entire song

everything, i think they are totally unnecessary, and if opeth were going to preview the album at ALL they should just put out one whole song instead if chopping it up.

I don't know, to me its a good way to get a feel for the album without hearing too much. What they did last year was cool, except having all of Ghost of Perdition and The Grand Conjuration almost killed the songs before the album came out. To me the sampler is a nice balance of hearing new stuff without overhearing.
