US 2008 Paradise Lost Tour

Lucius: russell talks like that on a general bases, it would be like asking a yank to stop saying y'all, its how they speak, accpet it lol!

hey hey hey, lets not lump us northerners in with the "y'all" crowd.

From an American point of view, this comment is really funny btw... typically its just the people in the north that get called "yanks" by the southerners, yet the south is where the "y'all" thing is from.

So in America, yanks don't say "y'all" ;)

Well some of us have crossed over and been influenced by dem thar southerners........

My sister married a guy from SC and they now live in Tennessee, he is 100% southern dialog. We also had family that has been in Florida for 40 years, but grew up north here, Jersey and NY, and they adapted some of the southern accents and dialog. In the case of my cousin growing up there he adapted most of it.

I have a buddy that moved south to NY/NJ area 30 years ago and hes got the NY/Jersey thing going on now too, which is much different from us "upstaters"

I'll use "ya'll" rather than saying "all of you" often. Down state rather than saying "how ya'll doin" they will say "wadda ya fucks been up too".....

It comes as no surprise to most of you that I say ya'll frequently , yet I only lived in the south (Tennessee/Kentucky) for about a year about a decade ago (no, I don't consider MD or VA 'the south', though I lived in both for several years). With all the moving I've done, I've picked up a total mutt accent with a little of this and a little of that; most of the time I'm told that I sound midwestern, though. Not sure why ya'll stuck with me, but it did. *shrug*

Yeah I don't care that he talks like that actually on a regular basis. I just wish he didn't do it at a fucking concert.

lol just out of curiosity what is brocore?
Sorry, haven't checked in a few days. Yeah, basically tough guy metalcore... usually one of the dudes at least is wearing a backwards baseball cap. the kinds of dudes that high five and say "'sup bro!?"
I know I'm going to sound like a bitch about this but I don't know why he has to say so many f words at a concert. It's kind of dumb to me. Too many metal bands do it and I wish symphony x wouldn't do it either.
Eh, most people there can deal with it. I was surprised how many F-bombs Kahn dropped when i saw Kamelot, but whatever. It's cool. I've heard worse.

the irony...

lol woops

I dunno, I normally don't really mind it but when it's at a concert it just bothers me for some reason. You know, especially if there's kids there and stuff.

LOL makes sense, theres a few people around where i live that fit under this category

masquerade (why no break down at the end?)

I think its almost impossible to do a fade out like that

I am going the the cleveland show on the 12th. I hope they play candlelight fantasia. Seen them I believe in august last year at the same place. They were awsome!

Also, on a side note, Russell Allen has to be the best front man I have ever seen! Back in the 80's I seen Badlands with Ian Gillian singing in toledo, ohio and that is the only person that comes close to russell. Back in august of last year he just owns the stage. Pretty powerful to watch.
