As far as war metal goes, we are the champions.

Destroyer 666, Gospel Of The Horns, Bestial Warlust, Spear Of Longinus, Urgrund...etc.:kickass:

Of those, only Bestial Warlust is "war metal". Listen to Rites of thy Degringolade and Allfather. But GOTH, D666, SOL and Urgrund are blackened thrash, or in SOL's most recent cases, mostly raw punk.

We must have a different meaning for war metal. Those bands you say aren't war metal, do claim they are themself.

EDIT: Checked out those bands you mentioned; Allfather are just aggressive black metal and Rites of thy Degringolade are just blackened death. War metal has always had thrash in it.

I don't agree. War metal is generally classified by that completely relentlessly aggressive style that Bestial Warlust helped create. There was a bit of thrash in Bestial Warlust, due to them being the next logical step of Corpse Molestation, but most modern war metal, particularly the Canadian scene, has very little thrash influence at all, and is mostly death infused war metal, which is characterised, as stated above, by its relentlesness.

Germany - this country produces the finest Death/Thrash Metal. The Thrash is far more aggressive than "sissy American Thrash". Bands like Destruction, Final Breath, Dew Scented and Kreator are among the best. The flood of Nihilism which arrived in Germany helped to produce a scene containing the most fearful/nihilistic of music. Bands like Profanity and Jack Slater blow away gay ass Floridan bands like Death and Morbid Angel, although the underground brutal Texan Death Metal scene rates highly.

lol jew scented. no

war metal as a genre doesnt exist. it is just typically thrashy death metal with lyrical themes of war or inciting war - like battalion. but id say it would generally either fall into death metal or thrash metal as a genre, depending on overall style and delivery

Battalion ain't war metal though . I agree it does barely constitute a genre, but even then it's not entirely based on lyrical themes. Look at it this way - it's to death metal what "norsecore" is to black metal.
