That team dominated the entire tournament man wtf are you talking about. Ristolainen and Teravainen made something happen every shift and there goalie was phenomenal, the whole team plays an american style game and fucking executed the game plan to a T.

They lost 2 games and got outplayed in the final, I wouldn't call that dominating the tournament.
Anyway, I have no problem with Finland winning the WJC, it's good for the sport that many different teams can compete for gold. Finns really hate Sweden though - bordering on obsession - so it makes it hard to root for them in any way. In the Olympics their biggest star is 43 years old so it's going to be nice to watch them fail.

When Czechoslovakia played hockey they were known for their def. style of playing. If they got the one goal up, they'd start deffending and often holding that lead the whole match thru.
That don't mean they got dominated.
Just because Håkan Södergren says this EVERY game between Suomi and Sverige, don't make it so.

^ Is that official? Why no Fleischmann? He has more points than someone like Mikalek, and in less games, while also having better +/- stats.

I'm not sure why there's no Fleischmann. I think the reason Hudler isn't there is because of some personal issues inside the team tbh because even Eliáš supported the couch's decision. Apparently he's not suitable for big ice. Whatever. Oh, here's a link to a NHL.com page where they put the roster up as well.

I'm surprised Ovechkin wasn't named captain for Russia. I do think Datsyuk would be a better captain performance-wise but from a marketing point of view Ovechkin is much better.

I can't get over Hedman being left off the team, what a joke. He's arguably our best all-round defenseman for the moment yet he's not even on injury reserve.
