^ Geez, dude, keep that crap out of this thread
omg SA in a BM thread
Wolvuntraven ist the trvest song by the kvltest band Sonataar Ctica.
Eeh, a bit too "frostbitten" for my ears.
That's the way BM is supposed to be.
While I do realize that many BM artists are proud of their "crappy" records, and fans consider those "trve", I myself prefer those with decent quality sound. And more than anything I hate young bands that do that on purpose (wouldn't apply to the one you posted) - especially since it doesn't take that much skill to get decent sound with technology nowadays. I prefer bands that achieve atmosphere through musical talent instead.
Well "bad" quality doesn't mean that you aren't musically talented. I'm kinda opposite of you, I prefer raw sound over cheesy overproduced stuff. But there are good BM bands with "good" sounds also, so I get your point.
Thy Serpent isn't new band, actually they quit like almost 10 years ago.
There is a middle-ground between shitproducing and overproducing you know So you don't have to sound like Burzum to not be overproduced

EDIT: This is exactly what most Black Metal bands seem to fail to realize.
^ Just like I said, with today's technology, one does not need to be in a fancy studio to have decent-quality sound. And being in a decent studio doesn't mean being with mainstream production. Take bands like Ragnarok, Drudkh, Lucifugum, for example.
