I didn't like that album a lot when I first bought it but it's grown on me over the last 5 years. So fucking solid.

Same here man, I kind of slagged it off as a mediocre middle era Bolt Thrower album but in the last few years I've come to realise it's the album I feel they got all the elements just right with a really great production.

For whatever reason, I've never felt Realm of Chaos to be a good representation of Bolt. Even In Battle There's No Law! has more elements that Bolt would later be known for.

To the contrary, I see Realm of Chaos as a very clear bridge between In Battle There is No Law! and War Master.

That's reasonable. I think my main issue (could just be the pressing I have) is the bass mix is so low relative to any other of their other albums which detracts from the power of the riffing.

War Master is the better album anyway out of the two pure early DM albums
