Interview with a Metalhead?

don't listen to that clown. He is the gatekeeper of Pleb Metal on this forum.

I remember not liking Sabbath when i was a kid. But my brain was not fully developed yet at that time, lol

Good news. I'm already past 25 and still not big on Sabbath so I guess my brain isn't slowing down anytime soon.

This looks like a bit of fun.

1. How did you get into Metal, or who got you into Metal? What about it attracted you?

My brother in law let me borrow a few old school Slayer & Metallica albums back in the day. That pretty much did the trick.

2. If you had to pick one song that epitomizes Metal to you, what would it be? Black Sabbath
a. What about one album? Black Sabbath
b. One artist? Black Sabbath

3. What sub-genre of Metal do you think has been most influential to the genre as a whole? (Doom, Black, Speed, Thrash, etc.) Why?

Death Metal. It's the craziest ride of all. Contains the most material to sink your teeth into.

4. What is your opinion on interactive music centered video games such as Rock Band or Guitar Hero? Do you like or dislike them? Do you think it has positively or negatively influenced the genre since the first game release?

Don't care for them. Doubt it has influenced or affected the genre at all tbqh.

5. What are your religious beliefs/affiliations, if you have any? Feel free to discuss or skip this question to your own will.

No organised religion. I do however believe in chakras & possibly reincarnation.

6. In the UK, many census takers listed their religion as Heavy Metal. What are your thoughts on this “phenomena”?

It's just a bit of a laugh, innit?

7. What are your political beliefs? What do you believe are the most important/most damning issues in our world? Feel free to discuss or skip this question at your own will.

Politics make me bored. World would be a much better place with just trees & animals. The worst thing about music is that people play it.

8. What about a person makes them Metal? Are there any defining characteristics that make a Metalhead?

Not really.

9. What does your style consist of? What are some important clothing articles to you, or items you think every Metalhead would or should own?

I don't have any metal style, nor do I wear overtly metal-styled clothing apart from a few band T-shirts here & there. Metal heads should wear whatever they want cause the whole genre is about being an individual.

We're a rough crowd here. :D

And dissing the most widely loved and respected band in the heavy metal community isnt going to get you an applause.

Think I can survive without the applause  I'm used to it. I bounced out of my home town metal scene for about 8 years because people legit took this stuff seriously. Was like being in religious school all over again.

Also, I never dissed Sabbath lol

The bit where people can't just say "I don't listen to Sabbath much" or "at all" is what gets me. They have to add a bunch of caveats shitting on them or shitting on people who like/love them.

If you shit on Sabbath you're shitting on the foundation of metal music and doing so is going to have backlash among die heard metalheads. Only a literal retard would think they will get away unscathed doing it.

There are plenty of legendary and important bands that I don't listen to all that much, but not feeling like listening to them much =/= they're shit, or there's something wrong with people who do, or they're overrated, or they're whatever whatever.

Congrats, you prefer death metal. So fucking what, Sabbath are gods.

Is that not basically what I said? "I know this is probably sacrilege to some but I've never gotten all that into sabbath." I then went on to say I respect what they are but just don't get the itch to listen to them much lol

Says the ozzman... what is going on here

Moreso related to my surname than anything else although I do prefer the first 3 Ozzy albums to most of the stuff he did in Sabbath so there's that. That's not new either as I've had that opinion for years.

But to be in crowd, you have to maintain that the first six Sabbath albums are the best Sabbath material

Also "Gatekeeper of Pleb Metal"... I like that one. Founding member of the "pleb crowd" confirmed.

You listen to DSBM and wigger slam so you belong next to me you faggot.
