Movie Quotes

I think Army of Darkness may have been released on DVD more times than any other movie. I ended up getting the $8 bootleg version with Bruce Campbells written note scribbled on the back.

In any case, Army of Darkness rules, and by god they need to make a fourth one.

Hmmm... this one seems to be stumping everyone. I'm going to agree with JayKeeley and guess Born on the Fourth of July. If that's not right, you'll have to give another clue. Meanwhile, maybe this one will be a little easier:

Char. 1: How come you ain't got no black people performing in this casino? We ain't good enough for you?
Char. 2: We've got Lionel Ritchie!
Char. 1: Lionel Ritchie ain't been black since the commodores!

Oh I'll just give it away, sorry I stumped everyone.

Movie: Rushmore
Character 1: Max Fischer
Character 2: Herman Blume

I guess I thought it was easy because Rushmore is one of my favorite movies and I've seen it alot.

Wow, I never would have guessed that one. I hated Rushmore, although I've always wanted to try watching it again because it got such good reviews and I think maybe I was just in the wrong mood to watch it the first time or something.

OK then, how about this one:

"Cheerleaders are dancers who have gone retarded."

Bring It On! Best cheerleader movie ever made! :D

OK, I'll try again. From another favorite movie of mine:

"Okay, I get the picture White Tigers, Lords of Death, guys in funny suits throwing plastic explosives while poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars of heaven shake, huh? Sure, okay, I see Charlie Chan, Fu Manchu and a hundred howlin' monkey temples, and that's just for starters, right? Fine! I'm back! I'm ready, goddammit let me at 'em!"

BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA!!!

(The last great John Carpenter movie ever made).

Am I right?

You got it.

They Live
Vampires

I would call both of these top notch Carpenter work that came out after Big Trouble.

In The Mouth of Madness was decent too. Escape From LA and Ghosts of Mars are decent crap. Crap, but fun Carpenter crap which is better than most junk...

They Live is a bit off beat (intended), but not bad. Vampires is cool - yes. The vamps coming out the ground is very clever.

But still, we aint talking The Thing, Halloween, or The Fog here...!

OK next quote:

Man 1: Suddenly, I'd like to leave your island.
Man 2: It is not possible.
Man 1: BullSHIT Mr Han Man!... Man, you come right out of a COMIC book...

I'm not gonna argue with you there, those are three of the best dvds I own. I waived the flag of The Fog for a long time, and many friends rolled their eyes at me. Only after the dvd release last year is it finally getting some cred. I mean... come on... ghost pirates!

As for your last quote, I will refrain because I knew it right away and give someone else a chance. I have way too much useless info in my head...

I guess The Island of Dr. Monroe, but the funny thing is I have never heard that quote nor seen that movie before. Am I right? :D

Yeah man, the Fog is so underrated - every genre buff should have that DVD in their collection. The Carpenter music scores are excellent too, which reminds me of Escape from NY. That keyboard synth rules! (I have avoided the sequel though).

OK I thought the quote was a little easy, but let's see if anyone else can get it.
