Alright, I guess I'll have to find someone else to help me host this extraordinary gala in my newly acquired beach resort; and to help me show these people, including 10 gorgeous women, a wonderful evening...

..oh but have fun with your dad.

Well this is fun... I was supposed to interview this Spanish woman for our school project; I called her before Christmas and we agreed that she'd call me back after Christmas / New Year. She hasn't, so I called her today - only to get a message that their phone has apparently been disconnected/turned off :erk:
I'll have to speak to my mother about it since she knows this person, but if that fails, is there someone from Spain or someone who knows anyone from there who would be willing to answer a few questions about Spanish Christmas traditions and typical Christmas food? We're going to make this into a small booklet and we're almost ready to print it, all that's missing is the info on Spain... If nothing else, just a few Christmas recipes would be nice.
Ah well.

@NL: I vaguely know this one Spanish girl I met in Tuska last year. I'll see if I can catch her on MSN, and try to interrogate her on the matter.

nf: bad tummy, but i'm being bold and going to work anyway.
@wazoo: i'm taking a brief look at the forum before going to the office, not while i'm there.
Ahhh I see :p
See, some persons post and chat, while theyre at work! Unbelievable huh?

NF: Incredibly bored by school. What a fckday, why dont they allow me to study somewhere else, the fckers. I'd get the same grades..! Fckers. :bah:
And I feel hungry and full at the same time :bah: = fcked feeling
...
(:p)

@Ormir: thanks :) try to avoid the traditional interrogation methods like the smashing-of-knuckles by slamming a door shut repeatedly over her hands and similar Gestapo-methods, I'm not entirely sure that will be necessary in this matter...

@Gregor: Good idea, but I'm really not in the mood for wiping up gallons of blood today so I think I'll save that particular way of solving a problem til another time...

@Wildfyr: Welcome back! :wave:

nf: 'angry' doesn't quite say it. 'confused' doesn't quite say it. 'disappointed' doesn't quite say it. 'stupid' doesn't quite say it. maybe, just 'tired and rundown'.

I don´t have that MG-album ;) But I know that it has a quite high score for most fans. And I also heard that it is very different from the new one, of course new one being "commercial" which I find stupid. It is very diverse and deep; I like it.

I find that whole "commercial" thing quite comical.
I mean, they (the tr00 and gr1m bm fans) would die to avoid becoming mainstream, because mainstream are for people who can´t think for themselves and so on. still, you can´t do anything that is not conventional (i.e what the first bands did) ´cause then you´re sell out. it seems to have summed up to that you can´t do anything new or experimental because then you´re not special any more. :err:
not to mention those terrible bands that don´t mind selling lots of records and being able to make a living as musicians. heretics! :Smug:

*LOOOL* yeah, exactly that one ;) Teh horror-question. Or "how would you describe your music?" - that is a typical question from people who haven´t listened before and made their own thoughts. Uhm. (though this question is probably more nicely meant than it sounds to me)

About Ville Valo: well, they weren´t teenage idols from the beginning ;) I guess many people are just envious, though they put the spotlight on finnish bands in general. Of course that had the bad side effect that now almost every band was compared to them, no matter if it made sense or not

and yeah, they should be allowed being in bad mood, too, just as everyone else! And we can´t know the reason for it; just people should remember they are humans, too. And ask themselves how they would react ;)

yeah, that question in that form is just... well... entirely pointless. and often it only leads to confusing the readers since, quite coincidentically (oh my, that can´t be correct english), most bands have something so special that it absolutely requires a genre name of its own...

oh, another phenomenon there, the "this band is the new HIM/nightwish/etc.". probably more or less a commercial strategy (when it comes from record companies), and otherwise people just not being able to use their imagination.

But if the music is the product of the persons, then it is obvious you must see the persons, too; at least in art (for sure I don ´t care who baked the bread..) For me, these things are related :)

in a way I can agree it´s related, but it´s complicated however you twist and turn it. I listen to a lot of bands I know very little or nothing about, and it would feel quite silly to suddenly start disliking their music just because I find out some uncomfortable fact about the band members... haven´t had any of those situations, though, so I don´t know how I actually would react. but at the other hand, I don´t enjoy for example "white power" music, even though I listen to some punk that´s not too far away (well, a bit, but still...) musically speaking. and then there´s of course the possibility that you would think just someone in a band is an idiot. and... and... and... :guh: [/blah blah blah]
(I hope you didn´t expect this to have any kind of point or conclusion... :p )

NF: Relax. My Japanese II class is canceled for today.

Reading side effects of medicines is funny sometimes, here's one that can cause bleeding to death or something similar if you have ulcer, sometimes also if you have not
You know what takes the cake? Those commercials about some new medicine for something that's probably better than the potential side effects:
"Now you can say goodbye to allergy/sinus/nose pain. (..show some random happy scene of some woman running through the meadow and playing in a swing) Side effects may include: Nausea, high blood pressure, drowsiness, fatigue, sore throat, heartburn, diarrhea, liver damage, abdominal pain, and birth defects with pregnant women..
Freedom is just a pill away, make sinus pain a thing of the past.."

EDIT: Got a sore throat? Take Thryajljghsomil Side effects include ..SARS.
