Not-so-good-and-old "How do you feel" thread

Cavities are teh horror for me. I'm 19 years old and I've never had one, but I fear that if I don't let my sugar consumption drop very fast, I will have one. And you know that the one who's never ill (like me) fears it most. Ahh, my teeth! My beloved teeth! :waah:

@CoT: instantly? you actually used my time travelling question in the q/a thread to go forward in time? :hypno: you´ll have to hold your horses until next issue, young man. however, the next autograph you´ll be asking for will be that of a certain per lundgren. and if it does suck, which is quite possible, me never having done an interview before, it is of course only because I want to make a humble approach :p
Haha, I guess I meant "immediately after I've read it". Will you do any reviews? (i.e. will you get any free CDs?). And I'm sure it will be a nice interview to read, they're really simple to do.

When a dentist says "it won't hurt", I think one ought to interpret that very relatively. You know how it can feel removing tartar, don't you? This must be much worse. I have a friend (with exceptionally bad teeth, though) who had a really bad cavity fixed. They had to drill on a nerve for several, I think it was 15, seconds. :ill:

well i had a small cavity (the first and only one i had) and the dentist told me he was going to anesthetize me anyway even if it wasn't going to be painful, in fact when i went there a couple of days after to fill it, he had to clean it still a bit with the drill and i didn't feel a thing even without anesthesia.
luckily i never had to do painful stuff or touch nerves :ill:

NF: very confused

NF: Totally :loco: and :hypno: !!!11
I read Alice In Wonderland yesterday and the half of Through the Looking Glass and it still influences me omg prrrrrrr
Hookah! Waterpipe..

[edit] SHUT UP ABOUT TEH CAVITIES, YOU LUCKY BASTARDS!! OMg, I mustve had about 10 by now, if it isnt more, soo DONT RUB IT IN and enjoy your relatively dentist- and cavity free life, YES?
(*cries*)

the only really violent episode i had with a dentist consisted in having one wisdom tooth pulled. that hurt like hell and i had to go on antibiotics for a week afterwards. but cavities always were a walk in the park.

nf: hyped, as i always do shortly before exams. i have little more than 10 days to go, and i don't think i really stand a chance, but i'll try heroically nevertheless. i hope creativity supplies where knowledge doesn't exist.

the sunset today was incredible. flocks of birds drawing impossible figures in the sky on a bright red background. i was transfixed in front of the window and could not move for a couple of minutes.

@fireangel: as CoT said, they are indeed connected and co-operates. I guess you could still say they´re "independent" from each other, though.
thanks for info, you both :)

special area of knowledge!? don´t you dare come here implying I´m anything but omniscient!
however, in this particular case I´ll be focusing ( ) on... well, I guess time will show. just told the good mr. forssman the case, which is that I´m quite allround-ish with some preferances.
just got signed up for Beseech as a "try-out", though.

just very curious: how did you get this job or how did you apply? (of course if this is private to you, you don´t need to answer)

Good luck for your first interview

Hyena: also all the best for your exam. I think ten days is still something! And btw, are you doing further studies, since you are already working, like maybe for doctoral thesis?

i'm sorry, DeepInMisery-person :(

i'm feeling alright. just had a long nice nap, and now i'm listening to CMX. you CAN'T feel bad when listening to them. they're just so brilliant and good and excellent and cool and amazing. :)

my music class was annoying today, tho. we have this small group and we have to prepare about 5 songs to play the other students. it is fun, but i feel like a fucking teacher there. people always ask ME what to play. always. and i gotta teach them to play it. why meeeeeee
one of our songs is Stop by Spice Girls. today i had write the notes to what trumpets play. then i had to find out the bass line. then the drums. and then i had to teach the keyboard player to play her part. then tell the drummer what he should play. WTF like i'm some kind of a music virtuoso who can play every instrument. i just feel like a damn boss there and i HATE telling people what to do..
usually we have lots of fun, though. all people in our group can play various instrumens quite well and we have totally managed change the atmospheres of every song. even the teacher (the real one) thinks we're great.

oh well that was pointless :p have a nice day everyone :o

CoT: don´t know actually, but I guess/hope so. nothing special said about it and there´s no one there not doing reviews as far as I know. I´ll just float along and see what happens.
and well, yes, it should be quite easy, it´s only to be half a page as well. but still, it´s quite scary for someone with the social skills of an averagely talkative sponge

oh, nothing personal about it at all. (sorry to disappoint RH and everybody else, but I didn´t have to sleep with the boss :Smug: )
I´ve been writing for a webzine for some time and simply saw SRM were looking for people. thought "well, it´s not lika I´m gonna get it, but what is there to lose?", sent in some old reviews of mine and to my quite humongous surprise things are were they are now...

and thanks alot. no date set, though, and I´ll get their up-coming CD first so I guess there´s still some time to worry :ill:

and I might as well take the opportunity to ask, if you do any phone interviews; how do you record the interviews?

EDIT:
Wazoo: aaaaw, those smilies in your sig are just too adorable. :p

Delirious: ah, i was just curious how one manages to get a really cool job ;)
Actually I dunno about phone interviews, because I never do them. Sorry, maybe someone else knows? (I guess you put the recorder next to a phone where you have that button for "surround speakers".)
I always prefer the "real" ones, and if there is maybe no chance, then I would go for mail, because phone is strange to me :( Especially when you don´t know the opposite person. Live is always coolest (as Dan Swanö would say..)
About worrying: that´s normal I guess ;) I can get pretty freaky, aswell, and for the first interview, I made my whole surrounding completely crazy *LOL* But when it starts, nervousness goes away. Hey, the others are only human, too :)

You don't have to be very talkative, a little chit-chat in the beginning and then: ta-daa! The well prepared questions! What you says doesn't matter that much, since it's not supposed to be in the article, right?

oh, nothing personal about it at all. (sorry to disappoint RH and everybody else, but I didn´t have to sleep with the boss :Smug: )

What!? :hypno: Then you must be the exception which confirms the rule... :bah:

I have wondered that too. But if it is such a short article (though it doesn't mean that the interview is short. Hmm...) then you'll probably will do fine with a good ol' notebook and a reliable pen. As long as you don't distort the essence of what he's saying you don't have to quote him exactly. Only when he says something striking or something well expressed is it suitable to quote him word by word. Back at the days at the mediaprogram at upper secondary (gymnasiet) I was supposed to interview a satanic high priest for an article about satanism and I did very well with a dozen of questions and my scribbly handwriting.

NF: pissed off.
The blonde bitch is on a fucking holiday (literally, since she is a slut)
and of course the other bitch knowing this, decided not to show up
today. Weee, fuckers.
