I saw there were Arise at the Linköping Metal Festival. Recently I missed them at another place, do you have any idea what people say about them (or what the person wrote there ;))? I like Mörk Gryning btw :)

I´ve heard very varying things about arise, some people just yawn and say "at the gates wannabes" and others think they are, well, kings of the cloned generation  most seem positive, anyway. not that particular review, though. "monotonous", "power-less" and "nonworthy head-liner" kind of sums it up.

I´m actually thinking of adding MGs latest to my upcoming order. :) I´ve heard a little and it sounds really interesting. and quite innovative, which is necessary for me to like black metal.

And oh, you have a Bloodbath-Interview  But why did the E-Type-gig gotten such low rating? were they really bad? You know that even Peter Tägtren works with the guy :)

appearantly, it was three hours late and he only played for one hour. plus an uncharismatic band. but I guess the time issue made a lot to ruin the impression...

I read something about that co-operation quite some time ago, but that was only Tägtgren saying something like: "we´ve talked about it, but both of us are so busy aldready". has anything actually happened?

Are you also in the list of the contributors on the page?

I´ll have to ask what list you mean...?
haven´t written anything in a while so I don´t think I have anything on the front page at least.

I survived it. I still prefer leaving something than doing it bad, especially as we are talking about voluntary things. And I didn´t want to bore Mr. Edlund. Maybe there´ll come another chance with better timing.

without a doubt that´s better. and I guess musicians are quite fed up with, in lack of a better word, uninspired interviews.
I just think Tiamat are great, and Edlund is (or seems to be) teh definition of coolness. :Spin:

*LOL* thanks! I spoke to Ville Valo once - for five minutes, but it were very good five minutes  ?

you´re drawn to the reputational bad boys, now aren´t you? :p
another person who´s got "arrogant" written on his forehead by some.
(that was you at the CoB discussion, right? sorry if I confused you with someone.)

NF: little bit sleepy.. I booked a time to meet my supervisor of studies and to receive his help considering the change to "brief" mathematics from wide-and-pro.
My grades have sucked all the way :)

And I am wondering, is there a band which plays doom metal but doesnt use keyboards and beautiful (and boring) melodies and just relials on heavy riffs.
Somehow I´ve started crave that kind of music. Pervertic.

Delirious:
Thanks for explaining about Arise! Seems I don´t need to hurry up with checking them, but if they appear somewhere, I may do. I am not sure about E-Type-guy and Peter T. I read that longer time ago. I just remember he got praising. I think it was in connection to Pain-work, that Peter said something like that.

Mörk Gryning: absolutely recommendable. Pieces Of Primal Expressionism is a great and various album. I have also the old one now, Maelstrom Chaos, but I don´t know it so well. I missed to see MG live some time ago :(

I meant that there is a list on your mag´s homepage, that shows pics and short information about the writers ;)

And yeah, I believe musicians are fed up with very uninspired interviews. For Poisonblack, I found a couple of which were almost similar! Similar questions, and then of course similar answers. The question about the bandname was asked maybe 70 times (and now I could read only german or english interviews, so it must have been even more). I spoke with Ville about that (the question to the bandname and so) after the interview I did, and he meant VERY resignated: "Yes, but the next one is surely going to ask this again". Poor guy.

Yes, it was me in the COB-discussion. I actually have never experienced Ville Valo as arrogant in interviews on TV or such. Not at all. He is the politest even for the crappiest questions!!! They found a way out: HIM -guys tell made up stories in loads of interviews, to the same question every time something else *LOL*
Ville Valo was very polite and friendly to me. Really nothing to complain :loco:

Believe me, I am not drawn to arrogant persons. Rather the opposite: If bandpeople appear arrogant to the fans (and I don´t rely on rumours, only what I see myself around gigs, even if I see it only from far, how they behave towards others, that is where I rely on) I pretty much might abandon the band. The music is spoiled when I know for sure, these are bad people :erk:

For example the policy of Sentenced, Charon, Before The Dawn is great, that they reply to questions in the guestbook or on questions-page and such kind, that is nice!
I think that COB, HIM or other really "big" bands simply don´t have the time to care for every single one, and also in many many cases the fans are respectless, unpolite, rude and stupid, either in forums, guestbooks or in personal. One should not forget that. An excellent example is COB-guestbook and forum. After all, the basic "work" of a band is playing gigs and making records. Everything else is extra!

NF: Pretty good  English was sooo fcking easy again! hahaha  Essay of MAXIMUM 540 words (omg I had to delete a big bunch again :'() and we got THREE hours to do it! hahahah :p

And..
German went good
Speaking -> 7.7 out of ten, which is good, considering the stammering I did :/ I was tired :/
Listening -> 8.0 out of ten, which is good, since I was dreaming about breakfast :p I was hungry :/ :p

Weeeh! Only.. History (=much :(), Maths (=much :() and French (is okay :)) to go

*relieved* Phewww..
And I am craving for chocolate now :err:

NF:

Today was like straight out of some high-school tv show. :'D There was a "festival" in the school, and me and a friend were performing the KISS song "I was Made for Loving you" with a karaoke backround tape. We were on second last, and the audience was getting very bored, and dissapearing little by little. While the other performers were on we painted on KISS makeup, and had a few drinks.

When our turn did come on we ran on the stage like rock divas and shouted ridiculous slogans at the audience. Kinky dance moves, air guitar, rubbing our crotches against the mic stands and other rock antics ensued. The audience changed completely from the previous apathy, and clapped along to the song throughout. We got huge applauses and people shouting for us to return to stage. I'm sure one could see the glitter in the air surrounding us. To make it clear, it wasn't comedy, we took our roles as cock rockers very seriously, and the mix of vanity and supreme self-confidence worked. :D

After the show strangers came to congratulate us and everyone seemed to be talking about how we were the best part of the show. Even our famously surly maths teacher came to se us; "Guys... you were fantastic!".

I had about 4 hours of sleep, was 45 minutes late for work, my boss was pissed, and I haven't been feeling well.

1,5 million points.
Booyah!

horrible even if I didn't have exams next week and fail 3 classes (probably, only one for sure)
I've been working really hard on schoolwork this week, and because I got to school late today my mom is being a bitch and not letting me do anything this weekend, and I won't even be able to use a computer in an hour or two. I've gotten a total of about 15 hours of sleep this week, and I haven't eaten breakfast "because I don't have time" or lunch because I have no money and my mom won't let me bring anything because it takes time to get. I even gave up the free time I did have to do work in school.
Even now I'm sick of UM, since the Chat forum is overrun by idiots now, and all the other forums are dull (this one included). The only reason I'm here now is because I have nothing else to do. I don't even feel like typing any more.

NF: Relieved. The weekend is here, so no school, no work, and more sleep. I don't have to sit next to the fat guy with really bad body odor, until next Tuesday. I also have time to do some catch-up work.
