I was going to vote for Lateralus, but it wouldn't let me for some reason or another. Overall, I think that is their best, even though my favorite 2 all-time Tool songs are Sober and Eulogy.

The main section of the board was originally about Opeth and other music-related issues.. I'm sure it can stay.

That being said.. Aenema or Lateralus certainly have their strongest work, but I love all the albums.

(I voted for Lateralus.. for tracks 9-12 - goddamn!)

I love all of them, but ÆNIMA is the greatest album ever recorded so that's what I voted for.

I'm at a toss up between Ænima and Lateralus. Ænima was always my favorite. Then Lateralus came out and I had two favorites. I've never tried explaining it before, but there's just something about the songs...they seem endless. The album flows in a favorable way. And I've always liked his voice.

Ænima is great, has some better songs, but Lateralus is plain awesome as a whole. And I'm into that.

Aenima has a lot of songs that are my favorites, but it has a few weaker ones, in my opinion. Lateralus is maybe one song too long too, but I guess overall it's more cohesive and strong.

Opiate is nice, but Hush is the dumbest song ever so it loses all its points on that. I haven't listened to Undertow enough to get a good feel of it, though Sober and Swamp Song are favorites.

as an album, i like aenima
but as a collection of songs i like lateralus the best

It used to be Undertow because its one of those albums that I can listen to over and over and never even think about hittin the skip button, Aenima has a couple I think are kinda weak, but Lateralus has taken Undertows place, havent taken it out of the truck for two weeks now and there seems to be no sign of letting up. So Lateralus is teh fav.
