Official National Hockey League Thread

Yeah that game was wild. Dominated for all but four minutes, but in those four minutes they gave it all away.

Blues look so bad right now.

Give credit to the habs though man, they played a good game. Up until like the end of the 2nd period the game was close.

And you also gotta factor Carey Price lol...

But meh, it was great watching Dimitri Jaskin though, loved watching him play when he was in junior, the guy is going to be a stud with the blues.

well yeah, they are a damn good team.
But the Blues are just off right now. Really playing shitty hockey.
I called it during the offseason. Should have never traded Roman Polak for Gunnarson. Polak has that toughness that the Blues dont have right now

Blues vs. Hawks seems destined to happen. Kane being out is a massive challenge. He was playing the best hockey of his career, leading the league in points (not pints). Apparently Kane's IR status allows the team to spend a little more money at the trade deadline, since there's no cap come playoff time. They desperately need D-man depth and probably a playmaker to compensate for Kane's absence.

Yeah, i do. :( But it's only with sports.

I'm actually 15-5 this month with my NHL bets.

But whats been fucking me over for the past few weeks are the soccer picks, i'm 10-14. Well at least AS Roma put a few extra bucks in pocket today.

What a bizarre trade

Horton to the Leafs for Clarkson

Cannot believe Toronto got rid of that albatross of a contract

Yeah, this deal is better for the leafs actually lol...

They get rid of a contract that was absurd to begin with, and get a similar contract in return that goes immediately on Injured Reserve thus not counting on the salary cap.

If Horton ever plays again who knows, but If Horton can get healthy again then the Leafs win this trade by a landslide.

Horton's contract wasn't insured so it makes some sense for Columbus. If you're going to pay somebody $6M, might as well give it to a guy who can still physically play.

fucking brilliant win against SJ

We were absolutely dominated in the 1st but wow did the Wings come on after that

Niemi stopped that from being a 6-2 game

I'm not sure what happened to David Clarkson in Toronto but his production fell off a cliff. I'm confident that anyone who watches hockey thought his 30 goal season was a fluke but he should me able to score in the high teens / low twenties. He scored 15 goals for the Leafs in 118 games. He scored 15 goals for the Devils in the 48 game lockout season.

Devils made a decent trade by getting a 2nd round pick and a conditional 2016 3rd round pick for Jagr. Jagr was the best forward on the team last season and for most of this season as well. He must have been amazing to watch game after game when he was in his prime with the Penguins. I'm hoping the Devils will be trading Zidlicky before the deadline but he has a NTC. Zidlicky should be able to fetch a conditional 2nd rounder at best.

Cory Schneider would be a vezna candidate if it wasn't for the shit team in front of him. He's keeping the Devils from becoming the embarrassments that are the Sabers and Oilers. Last season he had a GAA under 2 in his 43 starts and only won 16 games :erk:

Being a Devils fan is going to be rough. Unlike the Sabres, they have nothing to sell for the rebuild. Parise and Kovy really fucked them, maybe they win the lottery and get McDavid though.
