opeths next album

This guy's a fucking cuntface. I'd like to see him appear on Opeth's next album.

i think i would like a couple of short, really have, in-your-face songs.... butstill technical and stuff... that i would like

I agree that the vocals on the new album have a clear progression. I doubt, however, that there are less death vocals because of Mike's decreasing ability. I for one think that the Death growls have also improved immensely, they are much more powerful - perhaps i was just the production... but I dunno... Last time I saw them live too Mike's vocals were far better than the earlier years

i was joking when i said its was because he 'just couldnt do them anymore'

hence the ":p"

>:p

This one clearly wins. :Spin:

(He's also pissed off)

Now, back to Opeth's next album... I also think it would be interesting to have Steven Wilson do something on it, anybody think?

Actually, Dan Swanö would be even cooler if he actually sang (or growled) something on the album.

now Tubbs this is the second time today!!!

Swano in spanish sounds like: su ano, which means: his ass...

"I like his ass better" is what it says... :(

lets talk about the next album

i know many people olove the long opeth songs and u think short opeth songs would be gay. but i was listening to the lord of the rings soundtrack (inspired by affinitybands thread) ive had a copy of it for a while and never listened to it properly. i expected the songs to be great epics and thats what i had thought untill i had seen how long the songs wer all around 3 minites but they gave such an epic feel to them if opeth wrote the songs like this they could have short songs that felt long haha well i dont see how they would do that, maby not play riff, after riff. and just be constantly changing like the orchestra on the lotr sound track prob difficult would be intresting to hear a band that did that tho.

I read somewhere that mikael wanted to return to the sound and feel of Still Life while inkeeping with the progression style perfected in reveries.. but I dunno how true this is..

I would like another album like still life personally, its a perfect mix of prog and forest/folk metal, like mixing hearse with morningrise = still life.
