I've also written a handful of reviews: http://myanimelist.net/profile/antitype/reviews

None of them contain spoilers except for the Elfen Lied one.

I'm watching Boogiepop Phantom lately, but it's slow going since I've been a lot more interested in catching up with some manga.

Btw am I the only one who thinks that Cowboy Bebop is overrated as hell? Sure the setting is cool and the characters are fine but the story(ies) are just not up to standard and pretty boring.

I didn't like Cowboy Bebop but then again, I dislike essentially all animé series that are episodic, that don't have a continuous storyline.

Cowboy Bebop isn't exactly without a main storyline that it wraps up by its finale, though. That's part of the fun of its episodic nature; having each one be a new adventure in the lives of these bounty hunters, while the threads leading to the core of their story are eventually woven together. So, when people say things like this I have to wonder if they actually watched it, or just saw a few episodes on Adult Swim.

An episodic anime I like is Golgo 13. Each episode is about a different assassination and it's quite awesome if you're after some easy entertainment.

Just saw the first episode of Shingeki no Kyojin. It's a darker anime that looks to have some serious potential. It just started airing, and so far only 2 episodes have been released. Here's a synopsis:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

@ CynaideChrist That sounds really awesome. I'll probably watch that pretty soon. Thanks for the link!

Anyone else watch(ed) Texhnolyze? Sorta similar post-apocalyptic vibe going on too, but it's very complicated because a bunch of ranks are competing amongst one another to be the top dog and to have their vision of the future to be carried on. Texhnolyze refers to the robotic limbs made from dead people. This new world needs that because due to a lot of fighting and constant war people lose their limbs quite often. It's such an awesome show, though it's hard to explain what it is about.

This was fucking awesome! I watched all the episodes they had available on the site back-to-back. Can't wait for episode 4.

This site also has OreImo, which I may try soon.
