The depression thread

What have you depressed fuckers been up to lately?

Having a hard time getting up today. I wouldn't consider myself generally depressed.... I'm not even remotely suicidal and my self esteem is very healthy... But some mornings on my days off I just cannot will myself to leave the bed. I have so much shit to do that I've been putting off and I have more shit to do tomorrow. Weekends just kind of suck once they're actually here, at least when I go to work I get paid for things I don't want to do.

I think Bill Burr said it best, it's not like I'm depressed I'm just really lazy and don't feel like doing shit.

Many people believe in the power of herbal remedies to aid in desired results for health and mental related issues. This includes treating depression. A licensed herbalist can help to prescribe you with a recommended dosage of an herb that will work well for you, but the most common herb to take for depression is St. John's Wart.

Druggies will never make it out of their depression.
seems like a jab at me
except i don't really have "depression"
the closest thing i have is feeling freaked out and crying about getting fucked over, but me being a cry-baby about anything really only lasts till i pass out, i just sleep untill i'm not upset anymore (in highschool this led to me sleeping 12 to 16 hours at a time, but i don't even do that anymore)

i woke up still high the last day of April and i was kinda freaked out about the fact that i had suddenly relaized that i'd been meth-twacked every single day for the entire calendar-month of April, but even that didn't make me "depressed"
it just made me say to myself (and a bunch of other people) "i think i need to be sober for a few days"
my sobriety will prolly end tonight though, i've got some weed in my pocket

when it comes to people that know me
getting intoxicated is a pretty good cure for depression
i know people that are depressed-as-fuck when they are sober
but they are happy and giggly when intoxicated
then they just stop being sober

Hi buddy, I have recently had the same situation; I observe myself in a long depressed mood; I do not want anything. I just want to lie in bed all day and not get up, apathy to everything around, perpetual fatigue. I do not know what to do with it and am tired of being like a piece of shit, I thought maybe I should appeal to a specialist, but I am too lazy to go to him, but I found a solution; I found online therapists https://www.healthcanal.com/reviews/264730-betterhelp-reviews.html. I had made an appointment with them to see how it was, although I am glad that I do not have to travel; otherwise, it was a problem.

Getting intoxicated will only worsen your depression in the end. And if additionally you're on meds, that might end up catastrophic.

EDIT: Oh, I just answered a random response of a bot. :tickled:

I’m saying this from experience, drinking only worsens your depression. I do believe that meds help but not drinking. And obviously not addictive meds. Anything addictive only worsens situations

I've been researching herbal remedies and I came across this link that cured my depression: www.cures-for-depression.com/how-to-cure-my-depression

I've met alcoholics but when i mentioned "getting intoxicated" a few posts ago i was not actually referring to alcohol

I smoke weed and isolate myself when Im depressed lmfao. Probably shouldnt, ive torpedoed many friendships that way.

It's interesting to hear how different people cope with their emotions. Music, especially genres like black metal, can be incredibly therapeutic for some. It's a unique way to process what you're going through.
While I'm on the topic of alternative methods for mood management, I recently came across an article on Outlook India about kratom vendors. Kratom is a natural substance that some people claim helps with mood disorders, anxiety, and even pain relief. Now, I'm not suggesting it as a replacement for professional medical advice, but it's another example of how people seek different avenues to cope.
