Immolation are fairly mediocre. Also, it is my belief that Darkthrone should have stopped with Soulside Journey.

I'm the exact opposite. I dislike Soulside Journey but like everything else they've done.

I wouldn't go as far to say that Darkthrone should have stopped at Soulside, but that's the only album of theirs that I have heard and like.

As far as Manowar goes, they are just too gay (name, gimmicks etc). I don't care how good people think / say the music is, there is way too much other good stuff out there for me to care about Manowar.

Its a knockoff of dazed and confused.
Totally cheesy but great. I own it on tape and DVD.

Who said I was ever trying to be rational? Plus I have heard some of their stuff, it didn't grab me that much, so not listening to the rest of Manowar doesn't seem like its going to be a great loss to me.

TBH, I never even bothered to check out Manowar, because their image is sooooo cheesy, to the point of almost seeming like a parody. I admit that it is pretty ignorant of me.
