The Official Movie Thread

I thought it was really a let down, Nolan is in my opinion an amazing director that tells a great story that is really in depth but Inception to me was entirely face level with barely any depth..There wasn't any real point to the movie and I honestly didn't have a lot of interest in the whole placing an idea into someone's mind without them knowing, because they never really went into the side details of how crazy that is and how much it really affects someone. But this was also in a gay military theater in Korea, with bad popcorn and crowded so I will definitely give it another go when it's on DVD...but definitely a let down so far

Since you brought up your country, you ever have the good fortune of meeting Chan-Wook Park(IMO one of the top 5 best directors)?

just watched the director's cut of Dark City on blu-ray and also watched the interviews and bits afterwards. goddamn that is such a good film. and roger ebert is ridiculously smart. listening to him talk about the film in connection with Sir John Soane and Daniel Screber, both of whom I had never heard of before, made so much sense and was so fascinating

I thought it was ok. My main problem with the movie was with how it jumped from one thing to another , so unclearly. Also it looked really cheap, i.e. the car's.

But the SOUNDTRACK! now that was awesome
