i did not like TDKR much, but Hunger Games is not better than it. all the Harry Potter movies are better than Hunger Games, which looks like a cheap ripoff of book 4.

Finally watched Antichrist which was a weird art film, but had some stuff that made me cringe. Also watched Serbian Film, which was totally fucked up, but good.

Antikrist was good. Better than Melancholia imo where the first half just really sucked to watch. I know some people enjoyed the whole wedding thing but I really didn't.

Watched Another Earth. Cool idea, but really poor acting in certain parts. The ending was cool though, didn't see it coming.

Gods, the second half of Melancholia was fucking depressing to watch. It felt so detached from humanity. Still, incredible film.

Donnie Darko - Fourth time trying to get through it. Finally did and enjoyed it. Must not have been in the mood the other times.

Ah man, one of my all-time favorites for sure. I love the way they mixed those different styles.

I wasn't really that shocked when I first watched A Serbian Film. I think that was mainly due to how high the production values were. It seemed to have more in common with something like Saw than it did with Antichrist or Begotten. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as I did actually enjoy the movie but it wasn't nearly as disturbing as I was lead to believe. It was just an entertaining exploitation film. The only part that truely made me uncomfortable was the "newborn porn".

Onto Antichrist, I thought the style and art were amazing. I'm still not sure what the message was, if there even was one, but it was gorgeous to look at and the atmosphere and acting was fantastic. I can't say I'm looking forward to seeing Shia Laboeuf in unsimulated sex scenes in the next von Trier film though.

Pretty Village, Pretty Flame is the only Serbian film I've seen and it was awesome. I am aware that "A Serbian Film" is the specific title of the film you're discussing btw.
