Why are you watching shitty sci-fi shows to ease yourself into Star Trek? The best way to get into Star Trek is by WATCHING STAR TREK.

I could swear they play TNG on Spike at times, though it's probably out of circulation right now. You can watch the Original Series on TV Land, but if you're new to Star Trek, I wouldn't recommend starting there. Just go on You Tube or something. My brother owns a few TNG seasons, so that's how I get my fix.

I think they each make a few rounds, because now they're playing Voyager in the same slot that DS9 used to be in.

They had TNG on from 2-4 PM on weekdays which was good when I was in school, but not so good now that I am working

TNG plays at like 3PM(Eastern Time) and Voyager airs from 4-6 on Spike. Sometimes something else airs during these times. Hey Voyager is on right now! I know im a nerd.

^I agree. It's usually set up to be more believable, and the lack of structure in sci-fi causes some really good moments. The Cat who Walks through Walls has a particularly hilarious part that is based around a guy trying to land a piece of shit rental shuttle on the moon and everything goes wrong. Great book especially that part.

Agreed. Frank Herbert's novels, even the later ones, are totally engrossing, and his son's are highly enjoyable as well. But that is a discussion for a different thread.
