And you could consider buying my 70-200mm f4, which I'll be selling in 2-3 weeks probably (possibly when I'm in LA). Going to sell for $600 or so, probably.

Nah man, 2.8 or bust for me. I'm leaning towards the MKII on top of it. Stupid of me, but... ughhhhhhh god it's so bonerific.

But dear god it is pure class. Hopefully I have the cash when a refurbished one comes in. My only hope is that B&H will be releasing the refurb, because Canon's online store calculates sales tax (whereas B&H does not).

I'm sorry, but I'm not paying 8.75% tax on a $2000 item.

A week or two ago I sent some of my images to SPIN to see if I had, from a technical standpoint, anything they would be interested in. Well, I got an email back today and they invited me to submit as much as I can to Soundcheck. I am so unbelievably happy about that.

I really wish I had the 70-200mm 2.8 for the Earth set, could have gotten some better closeups (pretty much all the f4 ones were at 1600 on a noisy XSi, and at 1/50).
