Anything with Azam Ali on vocals is amazing. Dead Can Dance fans will especially like Vas.

Niyaz:

Really enjoying School of Seven Bells; shoegaze/dreampop.

Foetus' Nail. I don't listen to much that can be described as industrial, but all the vocal hooks and assorted vaudeville and soundtrack-like elements made this instant love. It's so fun and quirky that it almost rubs the same urge that I get when in an Alice Cooper mood. Haven't really gotten into Hole though.

And Scratch Acid is almost certainly the best thing I've discovered in the last couple years, metal or not. The gorgeous guitar twang, Yow's total lack of restraint, the awesome rhythm section, at least ~80% of the compilation completely engages me.

Love Goat, and like Head and Liar as well although they seem less consistent. I've been trying to explore various styles of noise rock, but they and bands similar to them are what I always find myself going back to. Also listened to The Birthday Party because of constant comparisons between the two, and what I have there (Junkyard and the Mutiny/Bad Seed EP compilation) are great as well.

So upset I wasn't able to go see Jesse Sykes live when she came near most recently

I picked up a couple Dead Can Dance albums recently, I'm listening to Spleen and Ideal right now and several times I've felt the hair on my arm raise up. I also got Within the Realm of of a Dying Sun. Anything else I should hear from the band?

I love The Jesus Lizard and have been looking for more similar stuff for ages. Didn't know about Scratch Acid, cheers. Are you into Shellac?

I've recently discovered these guys, very odd music but growing on me fast. Both the videos are awesome also.

I've listened to a little Shellac but not much. I kind of associated them more with a mellower (speaking very relatively of course) Fugazi kind of sound, but someone else brought them up recently and I think that I ought to at least listen to their first album in full. I have Battles' Mirrored album and like it quite a bit too. Usually I don't go for the repetitive/minimalist type of math rock but I think the quirkiness wins me over.

One very Jesus Lizard-y band I just recently came across is Circus Lupus, and while I haven't heard any albums in full yet and am not sure if they cross the line into imitation, I do enjoy what I've heard a lot.

Yeah At Action Park is genius imo. I heartily recommend checking it out thoroughly asap. I'm yet to get into the rest of their stuff but I've heard a couple of tracks and they seem solid.
