The thread where you talk about non-metal music you like.

Only recently discovering how badass Lisa Dal Bello is. Everyone knows how the 'Ryche rocked "Gonna Get Close to You" into a new stratosphere but the album her original is from some of the best, weirdly unheralded it seems 80's weird pop for lack of a better term. It was sort of her Kate Bush Dreaming moment where she more or less took over everything. Maybe she's more of a cult figure in Canada?

All that 1980s shit is over.
Brothers and sisters - we'll turn the volume down.
Brothers and sisters - we're gonna shut down this mechanical stuff,
That makes us feel like victims.
Take those machine guns, and turn 'em down.
Yeah. Turn off those cop shows.
Listen to those helicopters, listen to the sirens.
Makin' ya feel nervous, and anguish.
1980s shit - turn it down.

Been obsessively listening to these tracks lately. Puts me in a good mood instantly, 80's Madonna was so killer.

Also here are some more recent non-metal tunes I've been playing a lot:

Personally I felt the new LDR album was a bit top heavy, but still contains a few gems, especially the title track.

Such a good song, haven't dipped into her album yet, but once I've worn this one out I probably will take the dive. Anybody who enjoys ABBA check this one out.
