The thread where you talk about non-metal music you like.

She's great! One of my ex's friends lived in her old house in the Hollywood Hills, she had this huge mural of a foxhunt in her dining room. very cool stuff.

I listened to Mahavishnu's Between Nothingness and Eternity a few days ago. Pretty good stuff, though I liked Apocalypse better. Haven't heard The Inner Mounting Flame yet.

Any GOA fans in here? :)

Yeah I like goa, although I'm very picky and find a whole bunch of goa to be very cringeworthy! I live in so-cal so I kind of have to like goa because there just isn't a better rave scene in the fucking world

You live in So-Cal too? Cool beans. I've never been to a rave though. :( When i go off to college i'm definitely going to hit some of those up.

@ Bellig/Vihris

While you are at it, you must check out 'Shakti'. Mclaughlin is very impressive and displays no instance of overplay, which is awesome in the world of wankery.

Surprisingly the Lost Trident Sessions was quite good as well.

Been loving The Strokes alot lately. Also Phoenix and ( unrelated) Four Tet.

Mahavishnu is great. My personal favorite song is Birds of Fire, but I'm still pretty nooby with Mahavishnu. I will say though, I love his Indian influenced music. What drew me to this is his Instructional DVD on Konokol(sp?)

Marlon, if you like his Indian influenced stuff, you must really check out Shakti, both the original one and Remember Shakti. Such phenomenal concerts those were. Absolute virtuosos. I loved his guitar tone. He was tweaking with his sound via a laptop, which I found quite amazing considering the fact that he is an old man.

anyone know some catchy euro-style electro/dance music? maybe like Lady Gaga's but with better singing and a bit more emphasis on the music than vox.

^actually i kinda like that, thanks :)

any more?

You mean corny early 90s Eurotrash dance, or something more advanced?

 All these songs always had to have a chick singing in the chorus, and some black guy half-rapping in the verses. So fucking bad, but takes me back.

Well, pretty much the entire Eurotechno elite can be found on Croatian Invation. I especially recommend Dr Internet.

Have you ever listened to Faithless? I actually like their stuff with lyrics more than their instrumental material, so you might not like these tunes as much.
