no, but if someone has to get shot it should probably be the guy who endlessly drones on about how gun fatalities are a small price to pay for preserving the 2nd amendment. he was deliberately fostering exactly the kind of landscape that leads to shit like this happening.

As far as I understand it, he compared gun deaths to traffic fatalities and argued that the latter is something we accept in exchange for the comforts cars give us. And yeah, I know there's a difference as deaths in traffic are mostly unintentional, but what he actually said is much more than just that snippet.

I don't think defending the 2nd amendment is the same as calling for people to get shot but he's said some other heinous shit like justifying the genocide in Gaza. wouldn't have shot him but not a huge fan
