Pink Floyd - I can see some people enjoying the very spaciness to their music, but I cant stand it when im high. I get horribly uncomfortable and just hate how depressing this stuff is. I like to be happy when im on drugs of all kinds, I never want to be depressed like this stuff makes you.
Faith No More - I mean, ill listen to it and whatnot, its not bad music, but it is way overhyped. Patton is really not the god that people say he is. He is one insane motherfucker with a crazy immagination, but he has not applied it to my likings yet.
Katatonia - I like Viva Emptiness, but the older stuff SUCKS. Maybe its cause I hate depressing music. This is why Opeth gets monotonous to me after a while. I hate when they go all depression-like on me.
Nine Inch Nails - Its alright, but whats so creative about it? Horribly basic, something even I could create and im not a musician. I would be more interesting than this. I really dont get it, but RVP of the DTB respects them, and he is a very respectable guy himself. I just dont know why he does, I dont get NIN one bit.
Radiohead - I just dont like it. Too wierd and different, too "teenage" to me.
The Mars Volta - Same as Radiohead, its just fucking queer.
Tool - I like Lateralus, but I dont see it as a genious creation at all. These guys are most of the time boring, I am another person on here who does not undertand them at all.
Burzum - Fucking garbage. Punk recorded in my basement with a screeching bird for a singer. I gave it a chance, I wanted to like this shit. Its just garbage, and so is the majority of black metal. Its one big joke, and so many people just fall for it. The joke behind black metal is that it is all crap, and they just see how many people they can trick into liking it.
Nirvana - Everything about Nirvana sucks ass. I hate Kurt Cobain in every possible way, I hate the music he wrote. Everybody rants and raves about Grohl, but he showed no talent in Nirvana whatsoever.
Its not that I dont like grunge, as I LOVE Alice In Chains, I actually listened to Facelift today. Fucking excellent stuff, rock at one of its best forms.
Judas Priest - I hate how they are always compared with Iron Maiden. I love Maiden, but Priest just dont do it for me. Generic sounding metal imo.
Opeth - Please dont assume anything before you read this. I say Opeth because people regard them as rediculously godlike, and all I see is a good band. They write good songs, are really talented, but the godlike status is just not there. A lot of their albums sound really similar. I love Opeth, but something in me says they are overrated by their fans. Mikael doesnt regard himself as a genious, and just plays what sounds good.
Dream Theater - First of all, this is a very similar situation to Opeth. I love listening to DT, but I feel as though their music lacks emotion. Octavarium had some emotion, but the other stuff just doesnt have it. Its just creative music. That is all I like about Dream Theater. Very creative and cool, but is kind of shallow. Petrucci is a machine, and I mean this in all the good ways and the bad ways too. Hes an amazing guitarist, but I dont think he is human. Someone did not teach him how to portray his emotions via guitar, because I dont feel the emotions that I do with other guitarists.
