It's my opinion that, since metal fans appear to be in an extreme minority compared to the overall population of rock music listeners, then there are probably enough of those rock listeners who "dabble in metal" to outnumber the real metal fans.

At any rate, this whole discussion is pretty pointless since nobody has any evidence, so I don't get why you think I (1) feel very strongly about this, or (2) was insulting you because I felt strongly about it. So how about you get off my back?
