why do black metallers hate modern Black metal?

I was anxious to read that review for DsO, but it could not have been any less substantive. I don't know a thing about the new album, and it completely failed to mention whether it was in the style of Kenose or SMRC. In fact, the reviewer seemed to have not even heard Kenose. If the album leaked, we're sure to get more reviews soon anyway.

A good way to listen to SMRC would be to break it into quarters, beginning with the prayer tracks. It can be hard to find the time to listen to it in its entirety.

It seems this thread has outlived its usefulness and is just attracting posts that belong in the other thread. Time to lock this up.

Yeah to me it sounds like he completely made a review to mess around with all the diehard Deathspell Omega fans, which is why I brought it up. He is also a fairly awful reviewer judging from what I've read, he acts as if he owns the copy of the album even though he lives in Australia so how would he obtain a copy so early? And the review goes into nothing specific, just very general information that offers no insight at all. Also no track lengths were added to the tracklisting on the album page...

The thing I dislike about some of the new black metal (And perhaps the odd old one) is that occult imagery is used as a blunt wooden club instead of an intricate dagger. Example:

Blunt and Terrible:

In this millenium
we shall create the new order
We are the sons of The Lord of Darkness
The Soldiers of Satan
We bring you Death!
Die!
Mordgier - Satanik Commando Mordgier

Poetic and Wonderful:

Those who never was born
but whose darkness eternally
devastated the goodness built up through milleniums
No time passed, our victory is eternal
Our scorn, our silence...
A heart dies drowning in the night's blood
Everlasting malice for the wicked soul
Can't resist the night's sweet blood
Dissection - Nights Blood

No offense, but if that's poetic to you then you need some serious exposure to real poetry.
