Your most hated metal albums!!

Rhapsody doesn't get better than Legendary Tales? Hahaha... wow. Listen to Symphony of Enchanted Lands, buddy. If the harmonies in "Wisdom of the Kings" and "The Dark Tower of Abyss" don't rule your life, I don't know what the hell does off the first album.

Anyway, yeah, Luca is really cheesy, but I still enjoy it.

As for metal I hate, how about 90% of numetal?!

Luca Turrilli - Kings of the Nordic Twilight
Hammerfall - Legacy of Kings
Human Fortress - lord of something (I can't remember, it was absolute SHIT!! Never even cheack this band out, worst power metal i've heard in my life)
Genius - pt 1.

Back to blind guardian, i think the first one is the best that i have heard and the rest really do get worse as they go on (can't remember who said that and i am too lazy to scroll up, but that's right on!!!). I just dont like the fact that the songs from ANATO ave become so extravagent that it's impossible to play live and still sound faithful to the original. yucky.

first time i heard Battalions i was in awe... the newest one kinda bores me because it's too over the top with thousands upon thousands of vocal layers. Yeah, that's boring... everything seems to kinda get muddy together. I can only listen to the first song or two then i am done. But battalions... that's awesome shit right there.

Sure the vocal layering is a bit much, but Battalions is so primitive...unless you like that kind of sound. After a few listens to the new one I fell in love with it. But I guess since I got most of their new stuff before the old stuff, going back to that old sound was painful to my ears.

eh...Symphony of Enchanted Lands ALMOST made it onto my list of most hated albums

i think that the first album had a lot of life to it..energy, it was original and done in a way that is musically appealing. songs like "land of immortals" or "warrior of ice" had the right kind of driving, fast metal attitude...actually headbanging stuff, with some great solos. all of the dueling instruments and stuff..i dig it.
there just seemed something wrong with symphony of enchanted lands...kind of lifeless and bad sounding. more like typical metal...nothing blistering and fantastic.

maybe it is because with legendary tttales it was all new to me, but by the time they got to releasing the second cd..i was accustomed to the style.

i also think the cheesy songs on the first cd are actually very moody and inspire fantasy and mideival thoughts, whereas on the second cd they are just cheesy...
well....where dragons fly might be the best one on there actually.

I'm surprised the Gathering got more replies from people than those two Opeth albums. Psshh.. I don't know what anyone sees in that album, but maybe I should give it another chance. I sold it months ago though. Meh. Whatever.

I listened to night of the opera for about five minutes before I got a headache. It's too overdone, too overproduced and the songs aren't even that good. They were balls to the wall thrash with the first two albums and those drums, wow, Thomen really hits that fucking snare, right on jerry!!

Well, the difference in opinions has never been more blatant. I can't imagine anyone not liking ANATO. It was the first BG album I ever heard last year, and MAN do I love it. It's just so moving!

Dude Blind Guardian is AMAZING. yeah, you probably got their worst album (but theres some cool stuff on there like Majesty). I suggest getting either Imaginations from the Other Side or Nightfall in Middle Earth (Imaginations is their heaviest, Nightfall is a concept album based on The Silmarillion).

Cool,i`ll definitely buy Nightfall in Middlearth then, since i love the book, Sillmarillion. And a Night at the Opera too then, i sure hope it`s different, since i didn`t like BOT at ALL.........(Sorry the Odyssey :D )

ANATO introduced me to Blind Guardian, so I still love it. I think all of their later releases are wonderful, but overall everything they've done has some good to it. Middle earth is probably the best though (sorry to sound cliche...but it's true)

well, reroute to remain is pathetic, blind guardian's a night at the opera was a terrible dissapointment, soilworks figure number five is well.. not even worth talking about.., megadeth's risk and the world needs a hero, marduk's la grande danse macabre(are there even any black metal fans here? lol) celtic frost - into the pandemonium: pure garbage .. dream theater's falling into infinity, the last two slayer albums.. anything by francesco fareri(the absolute worst guitarist on planet earth! www.francescofareri.com) well, i could go on and on, but i wont.. - ben

The worst Metal CD I have bought was a band called Rondinelli. They have an album cover of a power metal band and they sound like crap. When I heard it, it ruined my whole day. Luckily I was able to return it. I love Rhapsody. I don't like Night at the Opera by BG. No rhythm Guitar!!! All vocals and solo's. I was disappointed with it greatly. I still like it, but it could of been a lot better.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks reroute to remain is absolute pants.

I don't agree with Hate Crew Deathroll, I thought it was balls to the wall only just short of the class of Hatebreeder.
