I hope so since it sucks and the guitar playing is really terrible. A lot of Black Metal bands have horrible guitarists. Satyr from Satyricon is really good.

I listened to it for the first time today and I really liked it. The only thing it lacked was a solid production job, like on their later albums, since the styles are similar.

Oh, I really like the latest Dark Funeral album (and to lesser extents their previous work). 'Final Ritual' has the most epic outro ever.

The drumming on Blizzard Beasts is kickass too, also the drum sound

Perhaps, but I think they should re-record it with their modern sound, since it's an album written for that kind of production. The vocals are too high and the guitars and drums are kind of too background-ish but not atmospheric enough to make up for that, either.

Shit is actually pretty thick, imho.

And by the way, he said nothing about what HE thought of the album. He's obviously talking about what OTHER people would think.

I don't like AJFA either. Nowhere near as catchy as the first three.

I'd say that all of their early albums are pretty average(dated), maybe save for Ride the Lightning since it was my first metal album, so there's some nosatalgic value to it. In addition, RtL has Call of Ktulu which is my favorite Metallica song.

I agree that a production like that on SOND would have lifted the record even more

I really like some of the albums listed here:

Metallica - And Justice for All
Satyricon - Now, Diabolical
Amon Amarth - Fate of Norns
Marduk - Plague Angel; Rom 5:12

Darkthrone's "Hate Them" happens to be one of my favourites, but I've seen a lot of people who don't like it at all...

Where i live And Justice For All is considered their magnum opus

It happens here, too. Many brazilian fans name either "Master of Puppets" or "And Justice for All..." as their best stuff.

I enjoy their five first albums (Kill'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All and the Black Album). Can't stand the rest, though.

Talking about And Justice for All, I really dig the Drums and Guitar work, especially the riffs thoughout the album. The production sounds good to me. Of course, purists will say the band wasn't the same without Cliff Burton (and I agree with that). Yet, I consider it a great work.

Raunchy is one damn awsome band, check out "Confusion Bay" if you havnt heard it, its 100x times better then "Death Pop Romance".
"The Caitiff Choir" is also one of the best metalcore albums ever made, too bad their last album sucked shit.

Uh, Confusion Bay is not even close to Death Pop Romance, trust me I've listened to both more times than I can count. Raunchy evolved past their annoying Nuclear Blast sound with DPR into a really cool new territory (brutal metalcore + catchy melodies and synths/keyboards with some non-linear songwriting to boot).

And I like and own both The Caitiff Choir and Sirens. Sirens is one of the catchiest albums of the last few years aside from Raunchy and a few others.
