Dio Tribute "Dream Evil" Song Discussion

This thread is for discussion of all matters relevant to the song "Dream Evil" to be recorded by a team of Sneap forum members as part of the Sneap Forum Dio Tribute album. Here the team members (preferably the team members only please, unless some cool idea is given by an external person) are to decide tuning/arrangements/whatever and trade the links to finished tracks, scratch tracks, tabs, etc. The person who will mix the final song is to be decided between the team members, be it a member already or not. Also, drums are to be worked out by the members, be it programming it themselves or finding a drummer internal or external to the forum to record it.

is everyone ok with the tempo of the tab for the song? (120 bpm)
we could use the tab as a midi tempo map

superfreak : you can use those midi drums as a reference and work from there
if you want i could also record the some background vocals (when dio says "dream evil" in the choruses)

To everyone: is there any problem if i take a chance at mixing it? or everyone could mix it and later on will discuss which mix is the best one

also...what about the keyboards in the song?

Here are the backing tracks, with and without bass. I'm going to work on the keyboards, there aren't any in the tab so I'll write them. The drums are from the tab with some minor changes. I'm all up for the idea of multiple mixes... we could pick the one everyone votes for.

Also we're doing this song in D, one whole step down, or else I'm going to sound like I'm struggling hehe.

sorry man i have been EXTREMELY FUCKING BUSY the last 2 weeks
had a lot of problems with an exam i did
that decides the next 2 years of my life


i will record the bass between this weekend and next week I SWEAR

No drums? you mean real tracked drums? We'll go ahead with the programmed drums, I think most if not all drums for the tribute songs are programmed anyway. I'll try n track vocals this week.

yeah only a few songs managed to snatch a real drummer, most are being programmed, but we have a few good drum programmers that will make them sound pretty good and realistic so it shouldn't stop you guys
