Does National Socialism have any truth or relevance to it?

As in, I think reducing poverty is going to have other effects, of course. I'm just saying that no one is going to directly reduce poverty. Improving education for the poor would do that, as well as many other things.

But people want to see immediate changes since we are a people of immediacy; poor people getting better education and spurring the economy in that sense would take another generation and people are retarded and cannot wait that long. Plus we do have other things in the nearer future which matter "more" (read: they are more immediate problems which can be solved using more immediate solutions).

Hopefully not missing the point here; it is a good discussion.

I'm not seeing your point; if there is one, it seems to be trivial at best.

Short terms solutions will have short term effects. If you're too impatient to solve a problem with a long term solution, you better start now, because it will always be the most effective way.

And I'd like to hear this list of "more immediate problems".

War in Iraq (I personally don't think it can be solved immediately, but I guess more politicians would enjoy trying?), decriminalization of minor recreational drug offenses to get a bit more money back, income/property tax stabilizing (I'm not the person to talk to about this though).

Note that I am not arguing that short term situation solving isn't stupid compared to securing things in the long run, I agree highly with your endorsement of a better and more stable education system...I just think that most politicians don't care as much for some reason, probably because they think that we can do better things to stabilize the economy than rely on another 20-whatever years of it being in transition before the economy gets back on track due to poor people becoming better educated.

I want you all to realize that by investing in education, especially towards urban and impoverished school districts, we can save a fuck ton of money in the long run. By allowing the lower class a better education, we can (1) save on welfare because these educated poor can get better-paying jobs, (2) cut back on the taxes going towards socialized healthcare because the educated poor, with the better paying jobs, can afford privatized healthcare, and (3) we'll reduce the prison population because a better education will keep the impoverished out of jail. Currently, the government is spending more on building new prisons than new schools. It's a travesty.

So to restate, if you invest in education, you eliminate the need to pay for other services like welfare, healthcare and the correctional system. It's so fucking simple and nobody, especially the presidential candidates, are devoting an iota of attention to it.
Actually Barack Obama has been talking about giving every student going to college a 4000 dollar tuition credit. This would allow people to go to at least go to Community College. I think it's a very good idea.

It's a start, but I'd much rather see that money going into elementary and high schools. Impoverished children often drop out by or during high school, because the poor conditions of their academic environment lead them to devalue the importance of education in their lives.

What many people overlook is that our spiraling economy is directly related to our banking system. Our economy is controlled by the Federal Reserve, a central bank which is actually a private bank, and in my opinion, a criminal organization. It has a monopoly on all US currency. This is a huge problem, as the Federal Reserve controls inflation by regulating how much money is printed. Another thing, they loan currency to our government at interest, making it impossible for us to get out of debt. This, in essence, makes us slaves to the banking cartels. Of course most of our "elected" officials don't give a shit because they get a piece of the pie too.

The Fed is causing extreme inflation right now because of our spending deficit, I mean hell, the war on "terrorism" is a multi-trillion dollar endeavor, most of which we borrow from China. They create the illusion that all is well by keeping interest rates low artificially, which means they have to print more money, which causes the dollar to devalue. Our currency is nearing the edge of destruction, when this happens the middle class will be all but completely wiped out, as has been proven throughout history.

Shit, this could all be by design as well. When the currency fails, we enter a depression (we've been in a recession for over 10 years, they're just now getting around to telling the general brainwashed public), industries and smaller banks go belly-up, and the banking cartels buy up the economy to consolidate power. This is exactly what happened to the British Empire in the 1800's when the Rothschild's bought up the entire British economy, and also what happened in the 1930's during the Depression.

Another problem with the currency is that we've gone away from the gold standard, so there is nothing legally backing the dollar. No currency that has gone away from the gold standard has ever survived. This is bad news for us. If you notice, for the last few months the price of gold has skyrocketed, hmm, I wonder why? It's because people are beginning to see the signs of an economic crisis. Again, it would make since for those in power to eliminate the dollar, considering the NAFTA free trade agreement (which essentially destroys US, Canadian, and Mexican sovereignty and merges us into a North American Union), and use the opportunity to issue a North American currency (Amero?). Why do you think nobody in power gives a fuck about our borders? The only presidential candidate that really had a solution to this problem was Ron Paul, and he was stiff-armed by the establishment. Really he's the only one who even talked about the crisis.

Sorry to go on such a long rant, it's just something to think about. A very fucked up situation indeed, and the sooner people realize that, the better.
