GMD Poll: Judas Priest’s Discography Ranked

It's so shitty. It's like they took notes from all the lame goth/industrial pop metal bands of the time.

Not sure how you can possibly enjoy it. Pure trash, and to fall so low from such lofty heights.

Some silly machine noises in the title track and a couple ballad-y bits = goth/industrial pop, whatever that is?

Not particularly. Pantera is about as far as you can go with demeaning band comparisons, and even that is silly when a lot of the riffs are basically just somewhat slower Painkiller riffs.

Post a single Marilyn Manson song circa 1997 or earlier that resembles anything on Jugulator (except maybe Cathedral Spires which is obviously different from the rest of the album).

Demolition is a great album. Put aside your bigotry and it is obvious. Jugulator is inconsistent and embarrassing at worst, but compared to the worst of Sabbath, Maiden, any of the big thrash bands, etc, it's still pretty damn good. Delete Bullet Train and Decapitated and I'd probably bump the album to a 6/10.

Just got through Nostradamus. What the fuck were they thinking, album starts with one of their career-worsts but actually has a lot of good stuff buried in it. Sands of Time/Pestilence and Plague was particularly badass. New Beginnings was kind of weird and unexpected, I swear the first minute and a half sounds like Cocteau Twins or something. Still really overlong, dry production, some of the vocal lines are phoned-in, but this isn't striking me as a bad album, even though it will stay at the bottom of my list unless Redeemer of Souls beats it. Granted, if I listened to the album regularly I'd probably get sick of it really quick.

Yeah, I think I'm not even going to bother re-listening to Demolition and Jugulator just out of principle because I know they are straight fucking trash and I like seeing Autismoboy get angry.
