I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

 LOL at you believing that rubbish, what car these days don't you have to take to a dealer to do anything?
Depends on the repair I guess. I do know that certain cars like Volvos, BMWs, and VWs are designed so that all the parts are proprietary and must be taken to a dealer for even the slightest repair such as a burned out bulb. That's gay.
Then again, most people don't even know where the engine is in their car, so...whatever.

ok, so I traded in my MINI for a Mazda3 GT Hatchback. My warranty was running out on the MINI in a month and needed something bigger. Got a great trade in value on the MINI, thanks God as it was a bitch trying to sell it privately.
Mazda3 is fully loaded except for Nav ... ze works!

thanks dude, it was the closest I can get to the mini as far as driving dynamics and good value ... even though its not much bigger it feels like I am driving an suv though

Lurch! The MINI was such a part of your identity! What have you done?

haha, that's what I was thinking all this time as well. but times change ...
there might be one in the future when they decide to make them cool again. The 07's are dissapointing to say the least ... and the extra space is welcome.

My main issue was also an issue with the CVT tranny on my car, which while not faulty at the time has a known problem that creeps up on my model year ... with a $7000 fix if it happens out of warranty. With one month left of the warranty ... and with a good resale value ... it was time to cash in my chips. My head prevailed this time around :loco:

CVT?! Bah!
I'm so tired of cars. When the prices drop in the fall I might buy myself the fastest motorcycle on the planet (whatever that may be - does anyone know?).
Nice choice on the wagon, btw. That's a nice car.

That's what I figured. Doesn't it have a 1300 cc motor? Whenever I see one, it's always a very fat black guy riding it.

FUCK YES another lezzzzzzzzzzbian wagon driver. :kickass:

That isn't the turbo one is it? I see Mazda 3s freakin' everywhere, but never the turbo one which could easily hand me my car's ass on an aluminum heat shield.

The two vehicles I've been driving the most lately for work:

2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD with power everything, including a gay warning buzzer for "Washer Fluid Low" WTF

2001 Dodge Ram 2WD 1500 with power nothing (except auto tranny).

I normally hate all things Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth but that is definitely a man's truck with no forgiveness anywhere, which I can appreciate. The Chevy is a piece of shit that embodies everything WRONG with America today. I swear, every little fucking thing is automated on it, and steering it is easier than a golf cart. Mallway Special. GAY.

Last week I took my WRX up north and remembered why I bought it to begin with... but I'm still considering selling it and going back to beat up Toyota pickups that cost $20 a month to operate until they die at 1,479,081 miles.

The MazdaSpeed3 ... no ... that's freaking 253 hp on the same car ... mines a measly 150 and still hauls ass though ... been getting shitty mpg's on the first tank though.

here are some pics ...

shit thing with trucks though is the 10mpg consumption ...

Hooray silver wagon powah!!! :kickass:

Looks like we're going to trade in the Dodge Ram for another truck, not sure what though. I drove a new Frontier and it was okay, but man, trucks are pretty womanly these days. Bunch of servos for everything in there just waiting to go wrong in the middle of Death Valley. Which reminds me:

Fucking gay as fuck god damn piece of shit EVERYONE who sells "trucks" in America can suck my dick, nobody builds anything with a purpose these days. Everywhere I look electronically shifted transfer cases with chain-run gears, independent suspension, power windows, and automatic transmissions. How am I supposed to buy something to use an as excursion vehicle if nobody builds anything decent? The only two with the proper cajones that I'm looking at are the Ferd F-250 and Dodge Ram 2500, but both are too large and expensive for me. Why can't a meduim sized pickup with proper axles front and rear like so:

be sold in America?! WTF!!!

Uhm...why don't ye get a Wrangler with Dana 44 axles? You can't haul SHIT though.
I'm assuming the pic above is of an Australian Toyota. They get all the cool trucks there. All diesel too (read: not gay).

Awhile back I test drove an F-250 and it had manual locking hubs. I felt like an ass getting out, walking around the truck twisting hubs. Man, I shouldve bought that.

If Jeep built a pickup again, I'd be all over it. As it stands I might have to get one anyhow, but I much prefer pickup platforms because I want to do a carpet kit in the back for sleeping/banging. Yes, the mirrorball as well.

Yep, damn Aussies still get cool Yotas.

Manual locking hubs = :kickass: . Reminds me of my early days of wheeling, it was about the only time I'd get out and walk around the vehicle to make sure all my lights were working. :loco:

Dude, you drive a Ranger. Tell Ferd to make that truck but with the same drivetrain as an F-250, or sizeably comparable. I'd even take Dana 30 axles and a 4-popper non-turbo diesel.

You know the new Toyota Tacoma is gay when I'm thinking about going domestic.

Nice pics lurch. The car looks great.

My lease is up in April. And because I love buying new cars, I couldn't help but start my shopping. On the short list at present are the Jetta GLI, the Infiniti G35 and the Lexus IS250 or 350. Mind you, I've yet to drive any of these cars. So far, this list is based on appearance, options, and reviews.
