True. But they are still better than Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Kanye West, or any of the other crap that gets played to death on the radio. Maybe I should have mentioned my extreme hatred for mainstream hip hop.
Same here. Just passing by a radio with that crap playing makes me more angry than words can possibly describe; the music is bad enough, but the lyrics are what really push me over the edge. I will never understand why people like that brain rot.

Totally. I wouldn't hate the music as much if the lyrics didn't piss me off that much. I don't care to hear some asshat brag about how many chicks he fucks and how much money he has. It seems that all MAINSTREAM hip hop is just about sex, rims, basketball, being rich, and partying, and nothing else.

what pisses me off the most is everyone i know loves metalcore and nu- metal and can't stand death metal or black. i know some people that listen to cannibal corpse but i think that band is shitty. :\ oh and i know some others that think cradle of filth is TR00 black metal. fuck mainstream music.
People who don't listen to metal would think metalcore and Nu Metal are Metal.. Just like this morning when my Dad turned on the TV and it was on Sirius from me listening to Beyond The Pit(a show that plays only death, black, and grind) and a Metalcore song was on and I said 'Turn it, I don't want to hear that" And my Dad was shocked because he knows I liked metal and I had to explain a definition of hardcore and how I don't like it and I how like the more extreme stuff.

A lot of older "Gangsta" Rap from the early 90's had a real message behind it, which was really cool.
Of course, this is all based of the radio from GTA: SA, so...

Unfortunately, the message behind *some* 90s gangsta rap was "kill the white man." I'm sure some of it actually had a good message, though.
