Lateralus, IMO, Tool's masterpiece. Although, Ænima is very close to it.

That 's really tough to decide! I have been a fan for 10 years now, and they seem to improve with every album so I voted for Lateralus.

I have to go with Aenima. That album is genius. Its my second favorite album behind Morningrise. Tool is also my second favorite band behind Opeth.

I do feel bad for Salival, too. Its a very good cd. The live version of Push It is awesome. It seems to put me to sleep when Im driving home at 11pm, though. Not thats it boring, but its mellow.

Tool is my biggest addiction next to Opeth, and after much inspection I would have to say Lateralus is a perfect album for mine, it is totally cohesive, immersive, intelligent and an incredibly mature piece of work.

Aenima is bad ass.



But I like Salival the best next. They did a bad ass cover of No Quarter, and they did Thrid Eye and Pushit live. Those last two are my favorite tool songs, and even though I've seen them 4 times now, not ONCE have they played either one of them... Grrrrr....
