I think since it's digital we're using the full art since we got permission to use the image posting in the cover art thread... Dan said something along those lines a few pages back i believe..

Yeah at least that's what was last agreed in the artwork thread, the guy didn't answer back after he said he wanted to resize and add some extra touches, but he did mention clearly we could use it as it is anyways

I've sent AlexanderExorcist a note about what we're doing. Hopefully he'll chime in here soon, he seem to be quite active on Deviantart so hopefully he'll see the note in time.

1) I've sent Wendy Dio three letters since June of last year and have never received a reply. So technically, we don't have "legal permission" to publish the album.. but also, I would've thought they'd atleast send us a "no" if they cared about us doing it.

2) It's 100% Digital Download package with Artwork along with the songs and a credit list. I was thinking just now that we should do a flac and mp3 download maybe?

3) It's free I believe and I think we're putting a link to the Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund for voluntary donations.

I think I'll send a fourth letter off today with the proposed release date, maybe rush deliver it?

Jorn made tribute album to Ronnie James Dio, maybe we should ask him (via e-mail) or some of the musicians and bands that participated on that album.I think Blind Guardian participated.This is just my humble opinion.Cheers!

We CAN legally do it without permission that's what a compulsory license is for.

I think this is what we're basically doing.. as we've already notified Niji Music, Purple/Mauve Music, etc that we're planning on releasing it. So basically we'd have to send them a statement of account and a royalty check every month, but since we're not making any money.. I don't know how that works...
