Those Vivian Campbell solos on Holy Diver are... well, interesting haha.

Are you guys going to play those leads note for note? I went the middle way so to say, to add some personal (and spontaneous) touch.

I think I'll do the same. They mostly are pentatonic basic rock solos. There are some melodies highly recognizable that you have to play, but other than that, I think you can improvise a lot.

It picks up towards the end with some high pitch singing but that's not the limit of my vocal range, I can go higher and sing with some grit... Dio style.

Jevil I mean the tuning of your guitar. Usually I feel comfortable singing with standard tuning (like on 2 minutes to midnight cover), but drop D tuning is absolutely cool for me

should I program some drums with slate samples until real drums are available? Just so I can start recording bass. Should I do it in standard tuning (like on the album?)

That would be perfect for me, since my bass is set up in standard D also (Standard A but it's a 5 string so it's the same as Std. D)

If you feel ok with it then go ahead, if your drums are liked enough by the members of your teams then you could keep them as the final drums for your track, that will be decision of your team as a whole.



There is also some guy who mentioned doing keyboards on a song, I will now read through the thread and find you cause I don't remember hahaha

Didn't you see my post ? I'm already programming drums. I'm trying to rearange a little the song, maybe add a little ambianc etc, I think it can be done today. But if you wanna do it tell me

And if anything else is needed? Antto (the drummer) said that he'd like to have at least a demo guitar and a click track, if at all possible.

If you have the keys programmed, I can use these to learn the parts and then play them! And then you guys can decide which ones you like..
I have some old (analog) synths that are itching to be used.

The only thing now is to find the time! It won't take us but a day or so (I hope), but we're just about to do "a little" acoustic treatment here..
