The Most Universally Respected Bands (among metalheads)

hey now, I wont flame him. I was the same way. if you would've asked me my favorite bands 6 or 7 years ago, I would've said Black Flag, Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys and TSOL. I hated most metal (except grindcore)

Priest and Maiden both suck. Probably not going to change my mind either.

Tizz sad.

sorry for jumping in on your conversations fellers/Lady's if any, but when I see Maiden being mentioned I can't help myself but to have a say.

First 10 Years of Maiden brilliant, had the time of my life, twas a privilege to of been in that time frame I think most Maiden fans would agree on that.

Caught Somewhere in Time rocks; so does Sea of Madness, Wasted Years, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner... there really isn't anything I dislike on this album.
And Heaven Can Wait and Stranger in a Strange Land and Deja Vu. All songs rule imo, that's one reason which makes it so good, almost all of the other albums has one or two pretty weak songs, SiT doesn't.

actually i think powerslave is the most consistent album

I bought this up to someone the other day. They said that Chuck Schuldiner AS A PERSON was very well respected. He never really did shit to anyone in the scene & he wasn't a drug addict like a lot of guys.

Death AS A BAND are not everyone's thing though.

Actually he had problems with a lot of people and a lot of people in the business didn't like him.
